Nothing groundbreaking here, but I replicated an old children’s book called “Animalario” in which you can create weird animals by flipping through the book’s pages. I added a random button, and a reset button to make it easier to go back to the beginning. Will share app clip soon.

Is this odd? Maybe not. I'm checking an online course on deeplearning[.]ai to build a basic AI assistant, and they don't have "Designer" under the job title field when creating an account. I wouldn't normally care, but I mean there's lawyer, there's healthcare professional. It's diverse!

TIL a lot of people have their early 2000s photos still public on Flickr. Some wild artsy shots in there, I guess most people forgot they published them.

I finished reading a novel by a Mexican writer, then Goodreads showed me related authors. Somehow this started a 2 hour rabbit hole where I ended up reading academic papers from a Chilean university. Opening tabs I will never finish reading.

Spent 5 days at an all inclusive hotel in Cancún. The plan was to disconnect and relax. I haven’t woke up this tired in a long time. Turns out my normal routine and consistent sleep patterns are way better than this retreat. #FeelingBlessedButForDifferentReasons

We spent Thanksgiving with my Dad in the ER in Monterrey, México. He’s doing well. I’m grateful for our united family (one of the biggest privileges in life), for his sense of humor, and for people who dedicate themselves to the care of others.

Interesting to see the latest post from The Pragmatic Engineer in which a survey was responded 50% by people from Bluesky, 40% from X, and 10% from Threads.

Having a hard time finding the circles I used to follow in other places: folks who post a mix of topic between design, prototyping, and weekend hobbies. Can’t find a starter pack like that.

Braak (2001) described innovativeness as “a relatively-stable, socially-constructed, innovation-dependent characteristic that indicates an individual’s willingness to change his or her familiar practices.”

I suspect UX workshops will start to become obsolete, or evolve. Instead of multiple people gathering for 3 days of activities, simply jam with AI agents and manage the output. Each person is an agency now.

You are up to date.
