Racking my brain to think of a reason they'd implement a policy like this. Can't imagine it's any more complicated than releasing a physical version of an established digital game.

Punching a hole in the wall because a website said Mario is blue and collects rings

"These tools have made it very easy for bad actors to crowd out good information..." AI fan wikis riddled with errors are muddying the waters of an already contested part of games culture www.eurogamer.net/ai-fan-wikis...

I unplugged my RGB-Pi (Raspberry Pi 4) over the weekend, and I don't think I can be arsed dealing with it again, so if anyone's interested in a CRT-friendly emulation device, feel free to show your interest.

Enjoy a hyper-literal reading of Ghost Town by The Specials. Like, nobody wants to go to the club because it's full of fighting ghosts.

Went down the deepend on the CRT's service menu yesterday. A million little unlabelled variables. A billion ways to fuck up a beloved television set forever. Accidentally disabled the RGB input at one point, with no idea how to fix it. What a laugh.

Revenge of the Gator is fairly rudimentary compared to Pinball Land, and there's a lot of frustrating missed opportunities in crossing over crocodillians and pinball, but I think it's worth sticking with until you can reliably get to the top of the table.

For a second, I thought they were being genuinely considerate and including an SD card, but that's just what the Switch Online branding looks like

I saw these pyjamas on the shelf and it took about three seconds before I realised that the design was reminding me of the video for Ghostbusters from Japan-only PS2 launch dancemat game, Stepping Selection.

Early impressions of Sports Resort is that 30% of it is the stuff that I don't think works well enough to bother with, 30% is overfamiliar stuff from 20 years ago, but the 40 is pretty good. Like to skateboard, like to race a dolphin.

Annoying thing about the death of games retail is that shops aren't sitting on unsold stock for years and maybe Metal Gear Solid Delta will never be a tenner

I thought the prospect of the retroTap making my cables any tidier was a bit of a giggle, but it's not an entirely insignificant change. I've unplugged an entire power strip.

That's NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Mega CD, 32X and PSone all getting power from the special box now. PS2 Slim would boot, but reset when the disc drive was under strain. Bypassing the RetroTap and using a splitter from the AC didn't work either.

RetroTap powering the PSone and PS2 Slim now, despite the documentation saying nothing about them, by the way. NES and SNES cables currently in transit.

I don't know if and why any of the old Japanese guys would commit to making a PS6 game at this point. I mean, not Kojima, but they burned that bridge anyway.

I do think restrained smugness is more attuned to Daisy's character than modest joy

Supper Mario Broth@mariobrothblog.bsky.social

In the Nintendo Switch Online version of Mario Party 3, Daisy's happy winning expression was changed to a more serene or confident one. This is the only expression that was changed. It is unknown if this is a glitch or if the developers believed it to better express her personality.
