I enjoyed reading this article about a study questioning whether or not a pianist can affect the *tone* of a note beyond just volume. Most (but not all!) classical pianists would tell you yes of course (myself included) and this study seems to prove that. www.sciencedaily.com/releases/202...

My latest video, "When It's Hard to Smile" - a very sweet, light-hearted piece written/arranged by composer Sebastien Skaf. Enjoy! youtu.be/DaregfZSabU

Probably the darkest piece in the Katawa Shoujo piano collections, the 7-minute piece "Moment of Decision" takes you through anguish, sadness, and despair. Though there are a few glimpses of hope when the E Major theme briefly emerges. Enjoy! youtu.be/LELkWHnzo2s

Please enjoy my performance of Innocence, written and arranged for piano by Sebastien Skaf. It's a very sweet piano piece that takes you on a pleasant little journey. ☺️ youtu.be/Y9-nIA4_Rcw

New video out - Jitter from Katawa Shoujo! Composed and arranged by Sebastien Skaf, this is probably the most technically challenging and impressive pieces from the whole collection. And the shortest at just over a minute! Enjoy! youtu.be/rKfhG_FiCwI @materiacollective.com

Everything was recorded in my home studio on a Boston grand piano. Listen here open.spotify.com/album/3SfsVW...

From L’Étoile (Katawa Shoujo Piano Collections) The challenge here is bringing out the melody clearly and not letting it get obscured by the background accompaniment. Do you hear all 3 layers? #pianist #piano #vgm

New video drop! L’étoile — by Sebastien Skaf — is one of the most beautiful and deceptively challenging pieces on my upcoming Katawa Shoujo piano album. Watch the full performance: youtu.be/ec8ARWA7-cM @materiacollective.com @materiaeditions.com
