In short: Standard Democratic voters are no longer enough to win Michigan against MAGA. To win close races here, Democrats must engage irregular and anti-system voters—the decisive group that chose Trump or stayed home in 2016 and 2024.

As you read to the end, I think you can feel me driving over the most American city, once Henry Ford's kingdom: Dearborn.

On Saturday, July 25th, Ann Arbor Indivisible, in coordination with Disappeared in America, is holding a silent march and vigil for Lorenzo, Johan, and for all victims of ICE. Meet at 7 PM at the Federal Building, 200 E. Liberty St to mourn and plan for what happens next. (2/2)

Thanks to the tireless work of organizers (especially Coalition to Shut the Camps and Downriver United 734) this concentration camp will not be opening in Southeast Michigan. Public pressure works. Now on to Baldwin.

Rep. Debbie Dingell@debbiedingell.house.gov

ICE will not be opening a detention center in Romulus. Southeast Michigan communities came together and made their voices heard in the court of public opinion. Thank you to the organizers and leaders at all levels of government who stopped this immoral project.

In the past year, the Trump regime has directly persecuted transgender people across multiple areas of life, including legal recognition, healthcare access, education, sports, military service, & ID documents. In this climate, celebrating trans lives is a powerful act of resistance. (2/3)

We're doing the work, this week and every week.

patiently explaining to national political reporters that the people who organize No Kings are also doing the daily advocacy, voter registration, mutual aid, and immigrant defense, and that just because the cameras show up for the big crowd does not mean that work did not exist before and after

Join Ann Arbor Indivisible at Liberty Plaza for a fun, family-friendly afternoon. We’ll have a kids’ sign-making table stocked with chalk, markers, and cardboard. Stop by between 1–2 PM to create your signs and get creative together. (1/2)

We’re also excited to host our first Dogs for Democracy contest! Dress up your pup & bring them to Liberty Plaza during the same time. We’ll snap a photo and share it on our social pages, where followers can vote for their favorites. The top 3 doggos will win gift cards to a local pet store! (2/2)
