Soooo our CEO hired the most unqualified HR leader I’ve ever seen on paper. And I haven’t met her because my CEO believes your shouldn’t interview your boss even though I’ve been running all of HR & TA solo for 3yrs… I’ll meet this woman at the work retreat tomorrow. Pray for my face!

As the only HR & TA hiring 20+ people this month, I told my boss, β€œI don’t have the energy for this conversation.” She said, β€œSame, and I haven’t even done yours yet!” So we just talked about the support I need. I’m going to miss her. About to hire my 5th boss in 3 years. πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚πŸ™„πŸ˜Ž

I got word from a good friend in leadership that our CEO started to ask why I make so much and I knew this would be the case when she hired another leader in HR … that’s one of the reasons I’ve been interviewing. I’m not stupid and I don’t stay at toxic places. Chess never checkers.

Im waiting to hear back from my 2nd round interviews I had last week for two companies. And yeah will spend this work retreat applying to jobs. Humans are something else I tell you. But nobody can do what I do & I hope my new job comes soon.

25 people have quit so most of my friends this year and yeah I’ve hired and double the company this year and we’re at 100 people but I absolutely am a Gen X BW from Detroit in perimenopause and I pray I don’t cuss anyone out because I hate disrespect.

Chef was sick last night and this morning pretty sure it’s the steak I gave him. I try to give him all the things he loves because my bestie was supposed to be gone a year ago. He seems fine on the outside but we never know if today is the day. Which is very stressful at times & sad. But he’s here🀎

Didn’t want to leave you guys hanging but didn’t want to post this either. The tumor is invading into one of his main arteries, and the vet feels with or without surgery. The outcome will still be the same. We’re not going to move forward with the surgery & let Chef live out his BEST LIFE!
