Lovely to see so many Lapwings at RSPB Middleton Lakes. Great egrets, cormorants, coots, wigeon all putting in appearance too. Merlin app recorded a Cetti's warbler which made a wonderful sound.

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than painting this lovely face. Wip of someone enjoying his twister #acryliconpaper #goldenlabrador #twisterlolly #petportraits

Work in progress of my friend's car. Never painted a car before. (And may never again!) It's so hard. Not Gordon Crosby but I'm enjoying it. #clancrusader #racecar #classiccar

More white rabbit 🐰

Don't know what I'm doing with oil pastels but sketching an idea for a composition. Every day for the last few days I've seen a small white rabbit. Sometimes with his brown bunny family and sometimes on his own. Like a little magical creature.

Whilst admiring the stunning mosaics at Chedworth Roman Villa in the Cotswolds, I found two White snails (descendants of the snails brought by the Romans) and a basking common lizard. #nationaltrust #ntchedworth #whitesnail #commonlizard

Dog commission finished and varnished. The smiley boy on the right now has two ears! #dogcommission #oilpainting

Sparrows and Blossom. Commission. Acrylic on paper. What beautiful birds, sparrows are. Cheeky, squabbly creatures with such character. #britishbirds #housesparrow #ukwildlife

Our friendly female blackbird. She's not friendly to any other birds that dare to land. She's been in and around our garden for years. Lovely that she's so recognisable. (Blurry photo taken with my phone.)

Painting a double happy face portrait. These two are making me smile as I paint. Work in progress. Oil on stretched canvas. #rottweiler #tongueouttuesday

I painted this loving pair from a photo with kind permission from the photographer, Ernesto Orellana. I now have another commission to paint two wood pigeons in different pose. If any of the brilliant photographers I follow have a photo of a Woody I could use, ideally two, I'd really appreciate it 😊

Illustration time again Acrylic and Faber Castell pencils. Frogs on the way. They have the best faces.

Messing about with oil pastels today. It is hailing outside and my magnolia is taking a bashing.

Made a start on the kingfisher today. Beautiful reference photo with kind permission of @willjames95.bsky.social A little painting for my sister who usually sees a kingfisher in Cambridge UK daily. Sadly, after some winter cutting back, he's disappeared 😔 Hope he returns.
