I live offgrid near the Canadian border with my wife and three farrell children. I love food and take an unhealthy amount of northern lights photos whenever I get the opportunity.

❤️BREAKING❤️ - Bernie Sanders before 20k People in Tucson: "They have the wealth. They have all the money in the world. They have the power. They have the media. But you know what they don’t have? We’ve got 20,000 people here in Tucson and we got 100's of millions of people all across this country."

This one’s for the whole world. Go to your App Store. Leave Google maps a one star review. Feel free to leave other Google products a one star review as well. Reason: ignorance of geography and colonialist sympathies. #3E

"People are waking up. Our office's phones are overwhelmed today. This rally tonight to protest Musk and Trump's seizure of our personal data was supposed to have a few hundred people and 1000+ showed up." - Chris Murphy U.S. Senator from Connecticut. #3E #USprotests #DOGE #UStreasury

Call the US government today, flood the lines and apply maximum pressure. Demand they do their jobs, arrest Musk, and impeach Trump. 5 minutes, 5 calls, repeat. #3E

I keep my girls informed with the current political and economic situation, so they've decided to get back to work in current over night temp of 6° in the dead of winter. Smart.

Game changer for the homestead! Black and decker 3.0 cu "portable" washing machine. No more driving to the laundromat for this family. And no more laundromat smell on our cloths! 💩🤢

OMG, it’s like we’re living in a dumbed-down remake.

History repeats. In late February 1921, 2 weeks before taking office as POTUS, Warren Harding writes a letter to the richest man in America, William Randolph Hearst, thanking him for helping him win the presidency with favorable coverage in major newspapers he owned & begging for his advice.

I get the pushback to Bluesky in that it further bifurcates our media ecosystem. But at this point, Twitter’s content moderation is so nonexistent and its verified users so extreme that the choice becomes either move away from Twitter or be subjected to straight up 4chan nazi bile on a daily basis.

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election. Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Anyone else notice the influx of magat trolls on random groups on FB? are they not getting what the need on x then getting ignored here and flocking back to FB? Leave my smoking cheese and makin bacon groups alone ffs.
