Just wanted to tell you, @dgoold.bsky.social, how much I enjoyed your StlToday piece on Butch Yatkeman. He was the only clubhouse guy I knew as a fan beginning in the 60’s. The long run the Cardinals have had with the Gieselman’s, C.J. Cherre’s, Ernie Hayes, etc., people who make the franchise.

I love Jordan Walker’s potential, but he’ll never reach it unless he changes that damn open stance. His weight is back on his heels and he’s off balance. No way he can hit anything for power consistently, especially the outside pitch. Makes me sick watching it over and over.
