The United States, at least as it was once understood to stand for anything meaningful, is dead. What remains is rot and corruption. I will miss what it was, all the more because I cannot stomach what it has become.

Are you going to wake up and do something soon, Americans? Or are you going to ignore the blaring alarms right up to the point of no return? Because if you can't see the cliff you're heading for by now, you are being willfully ignorant. Do something. Act. Because you are running out of time.

Things apparently removed from the Dictionary of Simplified English (Also known as American English): * Due process * Honor * Common sense * Decency Your country is burning down around you, and you are doing NOTHING. Wake the hell up, Americans. ACT. Holding up paddles is not enough.

Someone posted a few days ago they were so psyched up the world wasn't laughing at America anymore. They're right. You can't laugh at this anymore, because it is too disgusting to stomach with a straight face. If you can say that you are a proud American today... You are part of the problem.

"A republic, if you can keep it." Welcome to the end of the Great Experiment. Because that's where we are now. The only question is how decrepit it becomes before it breathes its last. And whether there will be anyone left who will mourn its passing, rather than cheer it.

3/ Facebook has become a tool for manipulation. It can not be trusted to provide a place for meaningful discussion, because it is introducing bias through censorship. It is about time for Meta to start answering some questions in front of a committee again. Maybe in Europe this time.

2/ Some comments were moved out of the reply thread it was in and to the main thread, while the reply it was written to was missing. The incognito and signed in accounts saw far more often the same comments, but there were still discrepancies. The VPN account saw a very different weight of comments.

1/ Facebook is manipulating what you see in the comments. In a test with three accounts, one incognito mode, one on VPN - both not signed in - and my regular signed-in account, I looked at one post, with "All comments" turned on. Some comments were missing completely.

The difference is so noticeable. Here, I can actually read posts and their thread, and 90% of it isn't hate, or trying to turn cute kittens into a political stance. I guess the air is just clearer here. Let's hope it lasts.

You are up to date.
