do I know anyone who wants to fund an open source agentic coding CLI? there is a gap in the current ecosystem of tools that I think needs to be filled for the enterprise, but contributing to or forking an existing project won't work.

About world leaders and politics and the assassination of the Iranian leader... I thought there was a tacit agreement that countries don't do that - since otherwise the "commensurate response" is to strike back at the leader who ordered the strike. What stops Iran from responding in kind?

Pizza is cool and all, but have ya'll got pizza so good that white women want it BANNED?! Pizza Badiali in Toronto (roughly Queen and Dovercourt) I can't wait to try this one out 😂

That's right folk, the most incredible photograph you've seen today was taken by a user who calls themselves "Flesh Banana" Oh Internet, never change 😂

I waited hours for this cloud to come near the lake #lightning strike reflection.

I want a new video game. It should be a cozy mix of Stardew Valley, Shopkeeper sim, Factorio, and, Dungeon Keeper. Start as an NPC running a small, broken down shop in a village where adventures pass through on their way to the dungeon of doom. Eventually, you discover an abandoned mine shaft...

By digging it out and releasing a few giant rats, you discover adventurers will shop in your store if the dungeon is sufficiently perilous. You get to upgrade your shop. You also discover that adventurers who don't make it, drop loot in your dungeon...

Eventually you fill your dungeon with increasingly complex death traps, automated loot collection systems, bio-disposal, undead minion, kidnapped villagers, etc... Basically becoming a dark lord of evil in the name of expanding your cozy small business, supplying adventurers on the road to peril...

Y'all it's been like 2 weeks since I've been able to finish a book 😭 and I've had some proper BANGERS on my phone. Books that I've legit been looking forward to for months and in some cases over a year. Haven't finished one.

What are some of the most transformative books you know about the business and practice of software engineering? What have you read that has changed the way you think about building software? My number one is probably Accelerate, followed by Software engineering at Google, then Clean Architecture.

I've recently really enjoyed Chip Hyuen's AI Engineering. ANY recommendations for industry leading software engineering or business books that have transformed your outlook or professional practice very much appreciated...

I think the number one problem is that I've got "external" anxiety that is preventing me from engaging in the escapism of enjoying reading. The whole time I'm reading fiction or nonfiction right now I have a nagging feeling that I should be studying or productive...

@angiejones.tech I saw the new job title! Congratulations 🥳🎉 I wrote an article the other day that I think you might find interesting. I've been getting solid feedback from both leaders and hands on engineers. It's a practical, approach for LLM use in teams alexchesser.medium.com/vibe-enginee...

If you find value in it, I would really love to hear your thoughts, but no obligation either way. If it helps, I'm genuinely happy to share. Besides, I imagine you've got a whole lot of celebrating to do 🍾🥂🥳 Congratulations again ✨🎉

I wrote something! In trying to figure out how to make "vibe coding" work within the enterprise, I've come up with an AI-enhanced workflow that should slot into your existing scrum or agile process. I genuinely hope you find value in it. alexchesser.medium.com/vibe-enginee...

TFW - You're on your final pre-publication read through and you give yourself chills 😭 I hope you all like this thing as much as I do. I think it might be actually good. TIL that I can care about "airport business book" writing as much as I care about space ships and dragons.

yikes, did she ask to speak to the manager?! spooky 😂

We took the kids to Flamingo Land on Friday. I shot this beautiful photo of one of the Flamingos. They are such stunning birds. #photography #birdphotography

Has anyone ever heard of any sort of #filmmaking activity course for kids? My six year old son sometimes talks about wanting to be "a movie maker". I thought it would be cool to head out to locations around town and set up to film scenes then edit them together. Post processing & special effects.

Me? Just quietly tearing up thinking about that final scene in #Andor... which I saw two nights ago. Visually reminiscent of Ridley Scott's Gladiator except a different sort of happy/sad/tragic. If I keep lingering here, I'll be sobbing.

Was devastated to learn that the series finale of #Andor will not be available until Tuesday. Immediately loaded my my local library app and checked out enough audiobooks to tide me over for the next five days #StarWars #SupportYourLocalLibrary #BookSky

"except as a punishment for crime" has ALWAYS been about white supremacy. Slavery never ended in the United States. They added an exception and found ways to criminalize being Black without saying "Black". Tear. Down. The. Prisons.

No words… 😢

One of the most counter-intuitive things I'm realizing after having started studying post-Marxist literature is how much better it makes your decision-making in a business context.

Concretely, understanding the concepts and formulae around sources of value, socially necessary labor value, machines and (Drucker's) concepts of information economy make it easier to have confidence when planning and prioritizing strategic business investments and work.

I really needed to know more: turns out the team wanted to create that feeling of being in Ibiza. So well done there :) bsky.app/profile/star...

Mon Mothma's dance scene in Andor, hit me on a visceral level. It reminded me of the days of my raver-youth when I would dance for hours on end. With a desperation like my life literally depended on getting the movement out of my body. youtu.be/y6wLcx7AkRM?...

I felt the desperation on her face reflected in me. It made me think about the nature of youth, health, aging, the inevitability of death, how we need to prepare for the day we're gone. A nostalgia mixed with dread

In no small way, I suppose that's what art is supposed to do right? Make you feel something? The way the context of the story really fed into that complex gamut of emotion I had was incredible. I was legit sobbing through that scene. Andor has this way of making me cry a lot. It's just that good.
