Anne 🇨🇦 NS (my family 🇺🇦&🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿)

Gave up on finding the video I was looking for. My last share for today, definitely not Canadian, but the Scottish mix just hits right. youtu.be/X8LsBxJSYGY?...

A less commercial video. This is My Canada (Still looking for another( youtu.be/WAYhT5f0i-I?...

Another great beer commercial from the same time frame. youtu.be/_Y7fHQiGkH0?...

Still one of the most patriotic rants, no surprise that it's a beer commercial. 😉 youtu.be/WMxGVfk09lU?...

Spinach salad with red onion, apple, chipotle pecans, dried cranberries, a little leftover chicken and a homemade apple cider vinaigrette.

I admit I'm a bit of a sucker for farm delivery. I've bought from these people before, and moved stuff around in the freezer, so placed an order for tonight. This time I went for the smoked pork collection. Lots of smoked sausage and bacon for the freezer. Well, I opened a package already. 😉

I really detest the 24 hour news cycle. I've done some searches but haven't seen any updates to this story. In attempting to move deportees to South Sudan, they are in limbo in Djibouti. www.npr.org/2025/06/06/g...

1.44 to send a level and now a suggestion that people are okay paying $20 a year for Canada Post? No thanks, why would I pay for junk mail? Cut delivery to twice a week, verify the length of routes (ie. don't pay 8 hours wages for 4 hours of actual delivery). financialpost.com/news/canada-...

Morning trip to my local market. I actually go for my CSA share. The other items are just a bonus. I got new potatoes from, noodle salad, fudge, oyster mushrooms from steak, jalapeno spread from, eggs, asparagus, tomatoes and strawberries. All NS grown or produced.

Ummm... When my parents had a fence put in I remember them letting the concrete cure before actually building the fence. If they start at 7:30 am is 3.5 hours long enough? Of course they'll have to dig, place, then pour. It would be too funny if they fall over while raising the flags.

So, from my purchases yesterday: I made a beef/kale dish. Brunch was bacon, eggs, strawberries with a piece of brown bread toast with homemade conserve. Made some rhubarb cake. Tonight a salad made with mixed greens, roasted beets & asparagus, Gouda cheese curds and pecans (Ontario grown & made).

Great wit! youtube.com/shorts/lJ3u0...

After a number of weeks, for various reasons, I finally made it to the market. This was actually restrained. I decided to pass by other stands today. All are local NS produced.

So true... youtube.com/shorts/TjXPM...

Half of the US won't understand who this is...

I don't think @charlieangus104.bsky.social should be doing press conferences from Parliament. I've seen lots of people on here saying it shouldn't be done by Pierre, so what's the difference? Neither holds a seat in Parliament. It shouldn't matter what the message is. Who next, Diagolon?

Masks are not okay for protesters, but are allowed for the jackbooted thugs?

Let's face it, he was the wrong colour.

Brittlestar rarely disappoints. 🇨🇦

Procrastination is strong today. It's raining, and although I can see the dust on the dresser, the cat and I are watching old Murder, She Wrote episodes.

He's just nuts, rambling on about building a ballroom while his country burns. Maybe they didn't need a fucking ballroom. Lots of fun he's having. Sheesh

I hope they don't mind, but our local Masstown market posted this today. Californian strawberry on the right, locally grown Millen Farms berries on the left. If I don't get any at the market on Saturday I'll take a drive out next week. Not on Saturday though, it's insanely busy.

Love these guys. youtube.com/shorts/aTSSC...

Christmas & New Years, 1961. I'm not quite finished with the pictures, but almost. I was having a little trouble getting sharp scans from some small printed ones, so I pulled ahead the ones I was going to buy for the slides. The last pic is the scan setup without the phone.

Security petition, you know, so it would require it for little pp.

God, fuck off, never the 51st State you orange fuck.

There I am, year unknown, but probably the mid 70s. I'm third from the front, on the left. At the time I would have preferred playing hockey, but there wasn't a girl's team. Instead, here I am, a Raindrop Carrying a Pole. 🤪

Spain, 1994 - the end of the trip. Well, she spent some time in Scotland before heading back to Canada. That was mostly a family visit with just pictures of meals out.

Morocco, 1994 - this was a trip my mother took after spending, I think, 6 weeks in Portugal. It was the trip where she made a new friend from Argentina, who she visited a number of times. I visited once at the end of a cruise. She came to NY, then Canada a couple of times.

Portugal, 1994 - I remember my mother calling home complaining about it being a little chilly in the morning. In Ontario it was - 40 and we had a couple of feet of snow. It was unusual to have both, but it was a fun winter.

England, 1993 - this was the last stop before flying home, however, there was a side trip to Scotland first. Unless there are some pictures in another album I only took video footage. Although I have lots of pictures of Scotland.

China, 1993 - the sixth stop on the journey. The next stop was to be India, however, there was a travel warning issued because of bombs. The people we were going to meet told us not to come as there was so much security that travel was impossible.

Hong Kong, 1993 - Stop 5 on the trip was in Hong Kong. We had a trip booked into China and needed to apply for our visas. At the time you usually had to book with a travel agency. When we returned to China in 2007 it was much more relaxed.
