Booked a car for out jaunt around Aomori/Akita/Iwate 6 weeks back. Had to change our plans some and shorten up there by a day. Look to rebook to cut a day off the booking, would cost us ¥4000 more to book for one less day. Makes less sense than libertarianism.

Bartertown from Mad Max; Beyond Thunderdome was shot at the brick pit in Homebush, former brick making yard that was empty by the 80s. Eventually it was to be part of the Sydney Olympic village, but was turned into a reserve for endangered frogs. The rest of the village was built beside it.

Spent the afternoon at my great aunts place learning old family recipes. Today we did túrós tészta, the most simple pasta dish you could imagine. My family make it different to the more common one you see out there, replacing bacon fat with browned butter. So it’s vegetarian for those who do that.
