A lot of food for thought here from @dataseerai.bsky.social - are we reaching a time, where we really can do more to lift people up to transparent greatness, rather than focussing so much time on weeding out the bad actors ? #whichwolftofeed

Many editorial tools focus on identifying fraud. But most researchers fail to meet #FAIR data standards because they are busy, unclear on requirements, or unfamiliar with repositories & metadata. How can we make #datasharing simple for more researchers? #openaccess #opendata #scholcomms #STMinDC

Replying to @dataseerai.bsky.social

Preparing and publishing a DAS starts researchers down the path to #dataavailability. From there, it’s a gradual improvement process, eventually leading to #FAIR datasets shared in a repository, where they are preserved, accessible, and reusable in perpetuity. #trustinresearch #researchintegrity

This was a great WhitePaper from @ioppublishing.bsky.social - especially around the point that authors from China and India might not know which repositories to post their data in

DataSeer AI@dataseerai.bsky.social

Often, barriers to #datasharing are as simple as lack of time, lack of awareness, or unfamiliarity with the available tools and best practices. According to research (ioppublishing.org/barriers-to-...) by @ioppublishing.bsky.social one major blocker is “no (known) suitable repository.”

One DAS isn’t the same as another - it’s great the quantity (number of articles with Data Available Statements) is increasing but quality counts too! What’s in the DAS - and now we have the tools to check this - @dataseerai.bsky.social

DataSeer AI@dataseerai.bsky.social

Data Availability Statements are on the rise according to the @digital-science.com State of Open Data report. The presence of a DAS doesn’t mean data ARE available — DAS can range from “Data available upon request” to FAIR-compliant data in a published repository. #opendata #datasharing #STMinDC

It's exciting to see where #openscience monitoring can lead! For the past several years, we've worked with PLOS to deliver Open Science Metrics across their portfolio and a comparator set of similar articles. Now, those insights are helping to drive the organization's future direction.

Through collaboration with experts across scholarly communications, we are working to build new publishing models that recognize all research contributions, incentivize openness, and break down systemic barriers in #OpenScience. Learn more: plos.io/3QPRIL8

Look forward to seeing everyone in DC for @stmassoc.bsky.social

✈️We’re on our way to #STMinDC❗ @adrian13.bsky.social is looking forward to 2 days of knowledge exchange and conversation on trust, AI-powered editorial support technology, and the future of scholarly communications. See you there! #ResearchIntegrity #ScholComms

Quite the project and acronym partner from the @altmetric.com team today - I thought X may have been interested rather than Center Kalkausen-Strasbourg !

THREAD Today Altmetric is announcing a major development in collaboration with the Brain Occipital Lobe Learning Observation Centre Kalhausen-Strasbourg. From today Altmetric will be able to determine what research paper you're thinking of, regardless of what you're actually writing/saying. 1/17

Transparency🟰 trust. But most research outputs still remain hidden. Access to data, methods & code are key to validation, reproducibility & progress. At #STMinDC let’s talk about how we can best support trust, integrity & high-quality, rapid research. #ResearchIntegrity #OpenData #OpenAccess
