“No justice on stolen land.” I really loved this movie. It’s so cute! in I loved the friend group and their love hate relationship. The soundtrack is fire too! Those little girls sure did know how to fight those aliens too! #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #octobermoviechallege #slashbackmovie

From Sunday: Trying to to catch up on missed days with a Danielle Deadwyler double feature. Gosh, this woman can act. The Devil to Pay is a revenge horror of a mother in Appalachia trying to just live and protect her son.

The second film is an adaption of the August Wilson play about the ghosts and demons in a family's past and how the brother and sister deal with them and live their lives in the only way they know how only to have to face those ghosts together to move past the hurt. #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

I’ve lost track of how many days I’ve done. 😅 But yesterday’s movie, Mr. Crocket was entertaining at best. And what I expect from a straight to TV movie. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #mrcrocket

Day 22:Man, that was a roller coaster ride. And what a ride it was It’s not what you expect in the best way possible. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #indiancinema

Day 20: It wasn’t what I expected. But I feel like it was exactly what I needed to see. I enjoyed this movie for many reasons. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #lahusera

Now this is what I’m talking about! Creepy AF and beautiful use of Javanese puppet show imagery to shows murder scenes.#octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #impetigoremovie

Day 18: What in the PDF farmhouse?! Yeah, this one’s a no for me. Le sigh #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrorcoviechallenge

Day 17: Maybe because everyone hyped it up and I was confused who the characters were and whose story we were following for most of the movie, but this was not as good as I wanted it to be. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day 15: Property is a Brazilian film about what happens when the workers who have lived their whole lives taking care of a ranch find out the ranch is suddenly being sold from underneath them. And I gotta say, I rooted for the workers the entire time. #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #braziliancinema

Day 14: I really wanted this to be better for me. But it was slow and kinda predictable. And the ending was random. I also can’t stand a hysterical female lead. And I would not have rented that apartment. Nope! #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day 13: A film set in Iran about a mother fighting to save her child. But in my opinion, the djinn wasn’t the only horror in her life. I enjoyed this film. Some unexpected jumps and made me interested to know more about this creature. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day 11: Today, I watched Nanny. Such a harrowing tale. And such beautiful cinematography. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day10: This was much sadder than I thought it would be. And with those circumstances, I’d become mad too. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day 10: Today was a Brazilian film about protecting the one you love and their secrets. I stan Ana and Clara. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #brazilaincinema

Day 9: Such a fun tale! I’m entirely unfamiliar with this folklore and will need to watch it again to get the bits I missed. But it was a fun ride. And the cinematography was beautiful! #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #bramayugam #indiancinima

Day 8: Well, this was a swing and a miss. I couldn’t even tell you what this movie was about cause I fell asleep. #octobermoviechallenge #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

Day 5: My month of horror comes in all kinds of scares, real and imagined. Today’s movie is Bacurau. A Brazilian western-style film that deals with classism, racism, and good old revenge. #horrormoviefan #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #braziliancinema #bacurau

Day 3: A tale of a monster, both real and from folklore, that has stolen and continues to steal indigenous children from their mother in Australia. And in other nations, as well. #horrormoviefan #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #aboriginalcinema #themoogaimovie

This October, I’m going to watch a BIPOC or queer international horror film each day. I hope I can stick to it. Anyone have any recommendations. Day 1: Marama #márama #horrormoviefan #octoberhorrormoviechallenge

People who hold their phone in their hand when the train doors are open, over the gap between the train and platform have the courage of Spartans. 😅

You know what has been grinding my gears lately? The fact that tomorrow I have to do things like study, and pick out clothes to wear, and do all those daily all over again. Why does the counter reset? I need a pause. Life is exhausting. Starting over is annoying.

Was I a bit messy for just commenting on a post an ex-best friend liked on IG about being a good friend and talking about my experience with bad friends? Why yes, I was. And you can call me Petty LaBelle cause if she don’t give a damn then I don’t give a…

The Tragic Mulatto is one of those subjects that has sparked so many conversations, and I tried to touch on the surface of that conversation. I hope folks enjoy it even though it is very different from my usual content. Trying something new for March. Link: youtu.be/GDYcW8tm6aA

I’m feeling myself just kinda give up hope on finding my people. Acquaintances find their people and the friendship stalls. Old best friends want to become someone different and the relationship ends. I’m old and tired. I’ll just crochet and go to concerts 2 more years here.

The dude on YouTube telling me I know nothing about acting because I didn’t think Sean Penn should have won an Oscar for that shit performance and movie can miss me. Get all the way the eff outta here. I said what I said and you’re allowed to have your shirty opinion too…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. One Battle After Another is straight garbage and offensive and I can’t believe it’s even in the same paragraph as Sinners let alone nominated for best picture with it. Like, you’ve got a be kidding me…

Also, you mean the Delroy Lindo, the great thespian, lost best support actor to Sean Penn’s hard on having racist ass, fetishising black women’s character?! What in the actual hell…

Leo's character was pathetic and absolutely useless as a human being. Sean Penn's character was disgusting and comic book villian charactrue like caricature. And that damn weak ass secrety society of racists... What did everyone else even watch??

This man bumped into me by accident on the train and apologized and I thought for a second “should I ask for his number?” 😅 Cause the bar is underground at this point.

Strange Fruit 9 x 10 3/4 2026 . . . . I was waiting to post this at the last day of Black History Month. The figures that I used in this piece are from actual people who were lynched. These were people who I had seen in books and magazines since I was young. How we made it this far is beyond me.

Why even bother to wash your hands with cold water if you’re not going to use soap. The amount of women that walk up out the bathroom after sprinkling g their hands with water or not at all is really alarming and disgusting…

You know what really grinds my gears? When I ask a specific question and folks send me paragraphs with not one damn sentence answering my fucking question…

You know how you ask someone a question about a statement they made and then they get smart with you. Then, later you find out that statement was false? Yeah ima circle back around and tell you that. 😏

Can we all just agree that, if a black American was to unalive themself by rope, that it would not be hanging from a tree in a public park…I thought that was obvious

The way people wash their hands so faithfully in kdramas at work and when they come home must be some kind of public service announcement cause folks do not wash their hands like that here. 😅

The way it fucking grinds my gears when I ask a simple question and you respond with some smart ass remark. Just answer the damn question.

Still my forever favorite song. Still my forever favorite lyric. So happy I finally got the tattoo. Can’t wait until the end of the month. 🥹
