Ossoff: "We are witnessing people drunk with power who are utterly reckless, utterly corrupt, and obviously believe that they live with impunity. They believe they're untouchable. They believe they're invincible. Let's prove them wrong."

It’s amazing what the Muppet Creature Shop & Disney’s Animatronics division can create in just 90 days- this just shows how seriously we need to take the threat AI poses to our society. I know Senator McConnell is dead & cremated, & even I was nearly fooled by this simulacrum.

UPDATE: I've been sharing that Beshear has until August 4 to appoint a dem to McConnell's seat. That's not correct. There is no cutoff date. The August 4th date came from this language in the KY constitution, but it only applies if Mitch's term wouldn't end this year, and only for special elections.

Denmark didn’t “transition” its grid—it replaced it. ~15% → 92% renewable electricity in 25 years. Wind did the heavy lifting. Solar is scaling. Interconnection balanced. Flexibility solved variability. Wind built it. Solar is scaling. Fossil lost it. This IS system replacement. ⚡#Bettrification

Chuck Schumer just made AOC a Senator. Pathetic little weasel who couldn’t hold his people together despite the resounding wins on Tuesday- As for the 8 traitors who succumbed to donor pressure, you may as well resign with Chuck, because there is no world in which your base forgives your betrayal

Governor Newsom, it is your duty to deploy The California Guard to remove Ice from Los Angeles. They are attacking your citizens.- and you have the power to do something about it

Buttigieg: Like I love A1 steak sauce, but A1 steak sauce is not one of the most important things confronting humanity right now. Artificial intelligence is. And somebody who doesn't understand that probably should not be leading an important federal agency.

Chief Judge Boasberg's probable cause ruling is *not* an appealable order. DOJ can ask the D.C. Circuit for an extraordinary writ of mandamus, but that requires showing that the district court ruling both (1) was clearly wrong; and (2) is not otherwise capable of being remedied on a future appeal.

Autism didn’t make them do it. Mental illness didn’t, either. This personal piece from The Big Picture cuts through the excuses and names the real issue: some people are just hateful, and we need to stop giving them cover.

thinkbigpicture.substack.comNeither Neurodivergence Nor Mental Illness Made Them Bigots—They're Just Awful PeopleIt's hard to admit your heroes are jerks, but the mentally ill and neurodivergent shouldn't be collateral damage.

JD Vance is might be, even now, personally commanding the invasion of Greenland using Signal- Please, everyone have a quick look at their text chains. We can only hope he and Pete are texting the Atlantic by mistake but if not, you could be the lucky recipient of the invasion plans!

I’m old enough to remember when Secretary Hegseth tried to publicly mock Judge Reyes—suggesting that she didn’t know what she was doing when it comes to protecting our national security. It was … two days ago.

I am so disappointed with Senator Schumer. Sir, I’ve no doubt you’re a decent person who knows every rule and proper senatorial procedure. But at this point in history, we need a leader who is willing to throw a punch and not back down. Will you please hand your gavel to someone with a spine?
