I was looking at software engineering subreddits & wow, the job market is beyond brutal nowadays, especially for new grads. Which has me thinking: Why are we allowing companies to hire H1-B's when new grads can't find work? We seriously need a ban on H1-b's at least for the next few years.

I had such a vivid dream that I had accepted a job offer and was waiting to hear back on my start date... I also spent like the last hour of the dream trying to figure out how much my pay was... I'm even dreaming about leaving my current job 😭

It's shocking how much software engineering has changed in a year. I no longer write code, I now prompt an AI and review its slop. I'm now expected to do double the work from a year ago even though coding was only 20% of my job. My job literally got harder because of AI. It's insane.

It's beyond insane that 3 supreme court justices voted to overturn birthright citizenship. How is this even up for debate? The entire job of a supreme court justice is to follow the Constitution, follow the law, and if these 3 justices are too partisan to even do that they need to be removed.
