Only getting scheduled very late hours and closing shifts is starting to take a real toll on my energy levels and general motivation to do anything outside of work. This should have been my chance to make friends but all I want to do w/ my free time is recharge

The worst part is that once this is over I have the new struggle of finding a new job w/ my degree which in our current era is going to be way harder than my parents act like it will be. So can’t wait for that inevitable disappointment

Finished Theodora part 1. Overall it was fine but honestly felt like a lot of payoff with no real setup. Particularly w/ the last two chapters

FW spoilers // For such a pivotal moment to Theo’s character arc it felt so unceremonious? Especially given the lengths we go to get a new warding chain this just felt a little bit cheap. Also the stuff w/ Dyan was so out of nowhere like the story completely forgets about him til the eleventh hour

FW spoilers // That being said I did enjoy Theodora a lot as a protagonist I love that she’s a queen who demands respect and can be condescending at times instead of the typical humble lords we get in fe. I just wish her inner circle had a more interesting group dynamic

FW spoilers // When I saw the scene where Aurora heals Theodora’s arm in Cai’s path I looked forward to seeing the context on her side. But it just kinda. Happens. Like she just randomly decides to visit Aurora bc she’s about to leave Dagsion

A little eh to me how Theodora’s path starts w/ Bonaventure mentioning how Saramis could potentially abandon the royal bloodline monarchy and not only does it never get brought up again but it basically culminates in Theodora going “I want to become a mother actually”

Like Ik it’s meant to be symbolic of her hope for the future of not just her kingdom but for herself but idkkkk puts a weird taste in my mouth. Not to mention the implication she has feelings for Cai which is like. FW plz stop being weird about Cai he is 15 years old!!!

Admittedly I didn’t care much for Cai’s farming bc you have to travel back to the field spot to harvest. Theodora’s feels a lot better in this regard. Gonna miss Cai’s mounts though
