These past 2 weeks since releasing Rogue Cell have been a blur. I even forgot to post about version 1.1 with New Game+! Of all the positive feedback, the biggest compliment has been seeing friends try again and again to beat their best times. ๐Ÿฆ  #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity3D #Steam

Incredibly satisfying to see Rogue Cell running on a Steam Deck, can't believe how easy it was to set up. And it feels great to play it on a portable device! #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity3D #Steam

Working on a custom LOD system for Rogue Cell, mostly just for "fun" while I wait for the release date. As cell radius or camera orthographic size increases, the mesh is regenerated to include more perimeter vertices. #ScreenshotSaturday #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity3D

For today's #ScreenshotSaturday, progress on a new arcade mode! Paying homage to "Agar.io" with this single-player, "grow as big as you can" mode, competing against fake players with frustratingly good enemy AI, and high scores to beat. #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame

Been playing around with cell behaviours for a new arcade mode, and it's strangely entertaining watching the cells swim and dash around in the debug view at 5x speed. #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame

Spatial audio makes such a difference, even in 2D games, in tracking where events are happening relative to the player. What a difference it makes, I can't believe I didn't set this up sooner. #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity3D

Having more options is better than fewer, right? I'm curious to see how many players will prefer the "pixelated" look, and how many will prefer the "clean" look. #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame

It's a little surprising (not really) how few quality of life features are included for UI navigation in #Unity3D. But it's very satisfying to get auto-scrolling and dynamic navigation maps (for gamepad support) working! Now to actually make the options menu... #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame

Rogue Cell was originally inspired by Agar-io's squishy cells and absorption mechanics, which were fun to replicate in #Unity3D. Procedural meshes with "dynamic vertices" that I could displace with spring-like dampening. #ScreenshotSaturday #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame

Been working on the upgrade tree for Rogue Cell, both the layout, order, and rough pricing, to help create a sense of progression for players as they evolve and get bigger. ๐Ÿฆ  #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #GameDesign #Unity3D

Didn't realize we can't upload gifs! :( Well, here's one more #ScreenshotSaturday screenshot to make up for it, showing the player dashing to absorb a cell for some sweet, sweet DNA points. ๐Ÿฆ  #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #pixelart #Unity3d

Oh hey, it's #ScreenshotSaturday! Might as well post a sneak peak at what I've been working on. An arcade-inspired project about absorbing cells, upgrading, and getting larger. Excited to show some more of this in the coming weeks! #gamedev #IndieDev #IndieGame #pixelart #Unity3d

You are up to date.
