I wrote a section-by-section summary of G.A. Cohen's "Freedom and Money". (Like a normal person.) Cohen criticizes liberal Rawls & Berlin for ceding to right-wing political philosophers by agreeing with the premise that lack of money is to suffer simply lack of means & not interference of freedom.

I wrote a simplified, section-by-section summary of "Chapter. V. Of Property" from John Locke's "Second Treatise Of Government". Locke argues that people come to acquire property rights by โmixing their labourโ with natural resources.

Why are people, particularly those who are Twitter refugees & self proclaimed politically left, checking out Threads when itโs owned by an arguably worse company?
I like it here and I donโt think a mega corp Twitter clone can kill spaces like these. There is a high level of original thought and engagement, people care about each other and maintain a strong space minimizing bad faith, harassment, and disinfo, which lets people be themselves & build community
We all have the desire to be noticed and for many itโs easier to troll other peopleโs posts because they donโt have the insight or charisma to garner followers. But to their dismay, no one is entitled to someoneโs time & attention.
some people are posters, some people are commenters, and the commenters fear blocking because they cannot produce content without a post to comment on
130k - 260k trans people have already moved states! An additional 1.3 million are considering moving. Anti-LGBT legislation & the concomitant emboldened bigotry are spiking. This is a state of emergency for trans people, particularly in red states.
