Small update to this; I managed to get the game to work as a Progressive Web Application! I'm not good enough to explain the technical bits about how a PWA works but basically it allows you to save the game onto your device as if it were a native app. So now you can play it offline on your phone!

So I might have gotten a little bored and turned this mockup @famimatsu.bsky.social made into an actual playable thing. Go check it out here: alexparr.net/games/kitche... #gameandwatch #videogames

All you have to do is click "Play" on the game's subpage (or click here: alexparr.net/games/embed/...) and create a shortcut! I only have an Android phone, but this should work with Safari on iOS too. Yes I know the game scales a little weirdly, blame the old outdated HTML5 compiler for Fusion.

Maybe I'll do this with my other games soon (like B!T and Urban), but given how much more "complex" those games are it'll probably take me a while to implement proper touch controls for them...

And we're officially open for business! Welcome to Odd Productions! I (Alex) opened up a new website and uploaded a few old cartoons from my back catalog as part of this launch. I hope you're looking forward to anything new we create! odd.alexparr.net

*Tiny* pixel art huh? In that case I'm making my next game with a 32x24 resolution and you're not gonna stop me

Oh by the way, for anyone curious, here's the AF attack stats. Circle and Pinhead: 10 Attacks Glovey: 4 Attacks Jerry: 3 Attacks Alex: 2 Attacks Screamtato: 2 Attacks Zoltion: 2 Attacks Ava: 1 Attack Atomic Jack: 0 Attacks B!T and Blocks: 0 Attacks Elax: 0 Attacks PC Yellow: 0 Attacks #artfight

Honestly I'm shocked about the amount of attention Circle and Pinhead got during Art Fight! I do get why, they're pretty simple characters to draw, but I wasn't expecting them to break double-digits! I really should get back to doing more comics and cartoons with them, huh?

Also surprising to see is the lack of attention the Screamtato and Elax got. Even though they seem to be fan-favorite characters of mine, they didn't get much. Elax especially got shafted; not a single piece was drawn for him. First he gets shoved into a wedding dress and now this. Oh, the shame...

It should be noted that 1 of both Jerry and Zoltion's attacks may or may not count? They were included in two drawings I did, so the website counts them as attacks against the characters. I don't know, you can just subtract 1 from their totals if that makes you feel better.

Hey everyone, look! It's that one famous character from that show about a world of Legos or something like that! ... what do you *mean* this isn't the same character?! (Art Fight attack on @check-dot.bsky.social!) #worm #art #artfight

Be warned; since Art Fight is over now, I'm gonna be making a crap ton of posts with all the art I've drawn during it. If you're here on Bluesky, you're not safe from being mentioned if the drawing in question features one of your characters

Circle and Pinhead Factoid: Before I restarted the series back in 2023, my friend @cosmictoons.net attempted to make his own reboot back in 2019-2020! It didn't last very long, only having a single comic to its' name. Below are the only things that came out of this reboot. #circleandpinhead #art

Sorry for the lack of new comics or cartoons, by the way! At some point either during or after Art Fight, I plan to get back into the swing of things. Until then though, I thought it would be fun to post this bit of Circle and Pinhead history!

CORRECTION: The alt text for the comic is slightly incorrect. The comic was drawn on January 27th, 2020, as noted in the last panel; however, it wasn't publicly uploaded until a day later. I don't recall if the (digitized) logo was also done on the 27th or not.

This drawing is based on an ongoing relationship in my Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream island, between Elax and CosmicToons voice actor Ruby (best known for voicing Cindy in Crazy Compositions). This was drawn as a gift to her and she graciously allowed me to post it here!

Figures that after a whole bunch of "shoving this at everyone they know" from the artist themselves that this would become my most liked thing EVER on here! Maybe one day Potato game. could pull these same numbers, or more. lol Regardless, thanks a ton!

On this day ten years ago, I was in a small classroom, on break, and it had a computer in it. With permission, I went on said computer, opened Scratch, and drew a quick 1930s-inspired character. The rest is history.

And in case anyone's wondering why I call today Screaming Potato Head Day, it was on this particular day that I uploaded the Screamtato's debut video on, of all places, Vimeo! ... yeah I don't remember why either.

Recently I actually went and revived my old DSi XL that I bought (and subsequently bricked) like five years ago! I recently learned about how ntrboot works on DSi systems to unbrick them and, funnily enough, this coincided with me receiving a DSpico in the mail. #nintendods #nintendodsi #videogames

So after a bit of finicking around, I initiated ntrboot/GodMode9i with the DSpico, restored the backup using fwTool (an older tool I believe I used to make the backup; since it didn't have a NO$GBA footer, no other NAND manager would work) and presto; I have a fully functional DSi XL once again!

For those that are curious; the same day I received the DSpico that I ordered about a few weeks prior, I read up about how the ntrboot exploit also works on DSi systems, and how you can use it to not only hack consoles, but revive bricked ones too; assuming you have a NAND backup for the system.

Luckily for me, I actually had an old backup lying around that, according to the file's creation date, I had made about an hour before I bricked the thing! In case anyone's wondering, I believe I originally made the backup to mess around with in NO$GBA/melonDS or perhaps some kind of title manager.
