#Furality is an event of the past week. It started with a marvelous opening ceremony but ended with a very emotional fireworks show. This convention is more about staying connected whenever it's possible to do. Here are 4 photos from the show. #ThanksForPlaying

Sorry for not posting Saturday's Taidum hangout event photos due to issues with the Steam Beta being unable to run the VR Chat application due to the EAC being unable to initialize dependencies. Before and during the event, I've tried to figure out what the root cause is. See you in Resonite!

@echogen.bsky.social was the host for the meetup yesterday. @veravr.bsky.social is the world creator. Thanks to @vrchat.com for fixing API issues after the meetup has ended. We all had a nice chat before the next meetup.

Since I haven't written any posts here this month, let's talk about alternatives. Context: @discord.com according to the 9 October 2025 BBC article, has a leak of photos of governmental identification documents. Now they want to roll out age verification but using a different method. Expectations?

And back to the topic. My suggestions (you can continue): For the game makers/communities: use Steam. For private messages: use Telegram. For the software development: use Slack.

For companies: use Mattermost Any open source: use any Matrix protocol IM client or Mumble for voice communication For old gamers: use TeamSpeak 3 You're used just for chat: use any IRC IM client. (IRC servers still exist.)

As far as I can see, people are moving or willing to move from Discord. Including cancelling their "Nitro" subscriptions. Why? Even Discord told us it is only about accessing age-restricted servers or channels; people don't believe this and extrapolate this to different communicational aspects.

Should they take this change back? People want to keep the status quo unchanged. Nothing more, nothing less. But as always, keep communication open no matter what. If people leave, they still have to be accessible. Make sure to keep accounts open until your migration has been finished.
