Maybe you saw Trump's so desperate he's begging Putin for diesel. But listen to this: At the very same time, the White House is brokering the sale of billions in Russian energy assets to people who fund the Trump family and the Trump campaign.

It's been 8 wks since the IFAA met for their annual conference in Melbourne. Still no feedback from them on the 23 to 0 disparity between posters from Russia compared to Ukraine.

Watched The Pianist again on Monday night. Brilliant film. One of the best ever. Yesterday, woke up to the news of the AfD victories in Germany. I hope AfD voters never have to experience that shocked realisation that Hauptmann Wilm Hosenfeld had watching Szpilman play, but I fear they will.

1,600 days of terrorism. That's what Imperialist Moscovia has done to Ukraine. And yet they remain there, sitting on the UN Security Council as a permanent member, as if they had some moral authority. D I S G U S T I N G

I can't believe no country, not even Iran, has boycotted this world cup. Trump, having been awarded a "FIFA Peace Prize", then went to war with Iran, renamed the Gulf of Mexico, and often refers to Canada as the 51st state of the USA. ... And the whole world just carries on as if this is normal.

So, if it's "reckless and irresponsible" when Moscovia strikes civilian structures in Romania, what do you call the *thousands* of far worse daily strikes in over four years on Ukraine?

After another (5th on the trot) brilliant 3-1 win at Chelsea last night, Vitor Pereria, Forest's 60th manager in their 161 year history, moves up to 3rd place in the all-time manager's table, sorted by Pts/game [2pts for a win, all comps], filtered by >7 games in charge.

Going through, scanning, some of dad's old photos, I came across this - an image of a demonstation in Trafalgar Square to commemorate Stalin's Baltic Deportations. I will never forget how Ukrainians supported us during those dark Soviet days. Слава українським Героям!

After Forest's brilliant performance last night in the first leg of the Europa League Semi-Final against Aston Villa, Vitor Pereira goes up to 7th in the all-time (161 years) Nottingham Forest manager's table, sorted on Pts/game. (assuming 2pts for a win).

After Forest's fantastic win at Sunderland last night, Vitor Pereira moves up to 9th place (out of 51) managers in the all-time (161 years) Nottingham Forest managers table. (Sorted on Pts/game [2pts/win], and excluding temporary managers [less than 10 games in charge.])

I am *exactly* 2/3 of a century old today! Not many care about such arithmetic nuances, but I do. 365.25 * 100 = 36,525 days, a number exactly divisible by 3. 12,175 days = 1/3 century. 24,350 days = 2/3 century. I don't think we can have enough excuses to celebrate this one life we have.

People who believe there must be some all-powerful God "up there" somewhere are the ones most likely to crave a great leader "down here" to sort things out. It's only a small step from religious fanaticism to fascism and I think this has been the real reason behind the rise of Kleptofascism today.

A reminder among the madness... Greenland is 2,500 km away from USA (Maine) but only 300 km from Europe (Iceland), 800 km from the UK and 1,600 km from mainland Norway. Of course, it also shares a *land border* with Canada.

Do you remember when Joe Biden ordered his secret police force into residential neighborhoods in broad daylight and had them shoot white women in the face three times? Yeah... me neither... This is Renee Good. She was a mother of three children and Trump is lying about her murder.

The annual explosion of polyester poppies on English football grounds is a masterclass in selective remembrance: a ritualistic focus on historic, safely defeated enemies while we simultaneously avert our gaze from the very real, ongoing war crimes committed by Moscovia's new fascism. Lest We Forget.

Thinking about Charles Oxnard today, who died recently at the age of 91. His book "The Scientific Bases of Anatomy" reminded us that learning anatomy is more than just "naming the parts". As we start a new semester at UWA I asked ChatGPT to write a short essay about tissues in Charles' style.

Who are the biggest imperialists today? I asked ChatGPT to rank the top 20 countries of the world in terms of how much territory they occupy compared to how much was "ethnically theirs" in 1800. The results are both fascinating and alarming. Obviously caveats apply but this isn't that far off.
