Quebecer here: nauseating in my province as well! At least in BC, your guy got a majority so like it or not, he’s got a clear mandate. But in Quebec, quite the opposite and by far! Yet he is assuming 28% of the popular vote and a minority gov’t gives him the right to run things like a country!🤨😤

OMG! Guess this is another story on what makes us distinctly Canadian eh! Just like kissing the cod in Nfld….but personally I would go for the cod instead. Any volunteers out there to put this on your bucket list? 😂🤣🤪 www.bbc.com/travel/artic...

bbc.comCanada's bizarre mummified toe cocktailBorn following a nasty case of frostbite, the Sourtoe Cocktail has become a rite of passage for locals and visitors – and it might just be the world's most unusual drink.

Rough translation: “Washington reached out to the Quebec gov’t to try to circumvent Ottawa”. I can imagine that the US is contacting other provinces that have things of interest to them. It went nowhere in Quebec; I would hope that other provinces do same. www.journaldemontreal.com/2026/09/25/w...

As a Canadian it pains me greatly of this news. California has always been a good neighbour. I would have much prefered to see a distillery from MAGA Kentucky go under. Please understand that many Canadian businesses are suffering or closing due to Trump’s stupidity. www.latimes.com/business/sto...

latimes.comCanada's boycott forces the sale of a California wineryAs California's wine industry struggles, a family-owned vineyard spanning 3,500 acres is for sale after its exports to Canada dropped 35% in a year.

Per BBC: Much of the 2026 agreement formalizes realities already practically true under the 1951 deal. But new deal resolves recent annexation tensions, trading reinforced U.S. security guarantee for ironclad protections against foreign economic and military encroachment. Trump’s art of the deal🙄🤔

Google: how king reacts to democracy? Desperate retaliation;democratic movement is insurrection;final days=brutal attempts to reassert control.Orders martial law, & military to fire on citizens, arrests political opposition. If army defects, reaction turns to terror & attempt to flee. Sounds likely?

« The system of power in Russia is often referred to as "managed democracy" (where the Kremlin does the managing). This means huge powers for the president and few political surprises ». We in Canada and the world hope this is not what is in store for the US midterms! www.bbc.com/news/article...

bbc.comRussia's elections will have few surprises, but for the Kremlin they matterThere is no doubt over the outcome of this vote, but for the Kremlin they are still an important moment.

Would anyone be surprised if tRump were to threaten Canada, and/or the EU with higher tariffs if we conclude the deal? He is the king of the world as he sees it. BTW, remember Leonardo DiCaprio on Titanic saying that he was that king and look what happened. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/e...

It is sad to think that 25 years ago, the world was unanimous in its solidarity with America, not the least being my country Canada where multiple planes landed in emergency on Canadian soil when the FAA halted all air travel in the USA.😥 Look where we are today. Please remember come the mid terms.

My copy of USA Today of the following day. I was in a hotel for a sales meeting in NJ by the Hudson with a perfect view of Manhattan. Painful moments as some of my colleagues had relatives in the towers and on the planes. May the victims rest in peace. No one deserved this… A Canadian friend.

Idiot! Notwitstanding the fact that Bombardier has over 3000 American employees in 9 US plants already, if he follows through with this, then let’s definitely cancel the additional F35 deal of 14 more jets. Enough of this stupidity already! www.cnbc.com/2026/09/07/t...

Tout le monde devrait lire cet excellent article. Ce n’est pas notre première confrontation avec nos voisins du sud. Excellent article about the current trade war with the US and comparison to previous confrontations with our US neighbours. Sorry I don’t have a translation. lp.ca/pz5rEy?shari...

lp.caLe nerf sensible de TrumpLes sbires de l’administration Trump ont passé la semaine à essayer de ridiculiser le Canada. Cette surenchère d’insultes démontre que leur bassesse n’a pas de fond.

I suppose he will likely soon falsely say that we Canadians are also begging him for a deal. Maybe he needs to be told that we hold some pretty big cards ( to paraphrase him) which could badly hurt the US if we play them. Cooler heads in USA needs to talk him down! www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

The CRTC had introduced its online streaming act that would have imposed a 5% levy on revenues of Netflix etc in Canada. Our PM had asked the CRTC to review that decision (to review does not mean 0%). Perhaps a fed gov’t Order in Council to the CRTC should now clarify the review. How about 4.99% ?

I’ve been leasing Lincoln cars for the last 5 years now. When my current lease expires, I will no longer want any US- made cars. Sorry neighbours but you have an idiotic government that does not understand who their friends are. Canada Strong!

You are up to date.
