🚨Our most pristine forests are on the line 🚨 The Trump Administration’s rollback of the Roadless Rule threatens our clean water, wildlife, and outdoor access. BIG NEWS: I am leading a coalition of 164 lawmakers to demand that those protections stay in place.

Have you submitted a comment against repealing the roadless rule yet? If not, now is a great time to help protect roadless wilderness! 🌲🌲

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (NM-01)@repstansbury.bsky.social

ICYMI: Trump is working to repeal the Roadless Rule – potentially leaving 44 million acres of our public lands and forests open to development. Protect our forests! These are places where New Mexicans hunt, fish, pray, and connect with the land. Make your voices heard. (1/2)

Last week, the administration announced its intent to rescind travel management regulations which could open the door for conflicts between users. For decades, the Travel Management Rule has helped the Forest Service manage different types of recreation on the 193 million acres of land it manages.

It’s nice to see a politician do more outdoors than golf. But I’m personally offended when I see J.D. Vance enjoying National Forest lands. Like wow, you just helped kneecap the agency, its people, ~7,000 gone, then go out to enjoy the land and its stewardship like nothing happened.

Yesterday's flash in the Grand Canyon was caused by heavy thunderstorms over fire-ravaged land. Similar to the glacial collapse that caused the horrific destruction in Nepal last week, both of those risk factors become more common and severe with global climate change.

Studying frog habitats has to be the third most innocuous federal research activity possible. Counting snips and snails would be the other two. We are told this was an “isolated incident” and not part of a broader trend, while Dr. Fauci is pilloried by Rand Paul and Josh Hawley. Frustrating.

It's insane that we even need to say NO DATA CENTERS ON PUBLIC LAND! Sign on to the petition below, and follow @biologicaldiversity.org for more ways to oppose this next threat against OUR lands.

Trump just quietly approved the construction of a #DataCenter on #PublicLand in southern Nevada — the first data center allowed on public land. We've already filed an appeal against this dangerous development, but we need your help to show the scale of public opposition ➡️ bit.ly/4fGlM7W
