WTAF. Just took a Lyft from the airport to my house. They charged me $50. I saw the drivers phone when he was starting the ride and he only got $18 ?! That’s ridiculous!🤬

When we throw up our hands and say none of it matters, we're doing the fascists’ work for them. They don't need to hide their corruption if they can convince us it's pointless to look. They don't need to silence truth-tellers if we've already decided truth is meaningless.

Have you ever wanted to debug your device over USB-C? (I’m talking JTAG/SWD, not just USB!) If you already have a USB-C connector, there’s no need to have an additional connector to program! Started as a twitter thread ages ago, but I've cleaned it up and added more info! alvarop.com/2025/03/swd-...

This is one of the neatest gifts I’ve ever received. It’s a rug that looks just like one of my weather station PCB’s! Here are pictures of the PCB and the rug. Oh, and did I mention some of it glows in the dark?!?!?

Come for all the UUIDs everyuuid.com, stay for the unexpected cryptanalysis. eieio.games/blog/writing... By the one and only @itseieio.bsky.social, of course.

eieio.gamesWriting down (and searching through) every UUID · eieio.gamesI couldn't remember every UUID so I wrote them all down
nolen@itseieio.bsky.social

how do you all remember every UUID? I find it really hard. so I wrote them all down on every uuid dot com the list has fast search across all 2^122 values (so you can find your favorites) - hoping to add some social features like "trending UUIDs" soon!

I'm watching some folks reverse engineer the xz backdoor, sharing some *preliminary* analysis with permission. The hooked RSA_public_decrypt verifies a signature on the server's host key by a fixed Ed448 key, and then passes a payload to system(). It's RCE, not auth bypass, and gated/unreplayable.

This might be the best executed supply chain attack we've seen described in the open, and it's a nightmare scenario: malicious, competent, authorized upstream in a widely used library. Looks like this got caught by chance. Wonder how long it would have taken otherwise.

You are up to date.
