Landscapes in the beautiful southeast US. Sometimes I make YouTube videos, sometimes I write, mostly I try to make good images. She/her.

Books have a habit of being ordered slowly and then arriving all at once in my household. Evening reading is set for a week I hope. My hottest (but shouldn’t be) photography take is that if you aren’t consuming good photography you have very little chance to improve ad diversify your own craft.

I love finding heavy equipment. Often though, it's in less than ideal conditions either by being too far onto private property or, like in this case, in a compositionally tough position. To level horizon or subject? #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

Listen, I am but a girl who wants to operate heavy equipment. Let me have a go I've played snow runner and farm simulator I promise I can handle it. (this girl's dad never let her drive the riding mower)

While waiting for the clouds to part below Elk Knob this summer I encouraged a woman toward the viewpoint. She said they had just moved from Texas. Bless her heart she was wobbly before she even got to the railing. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

I kid you not, she was on her knees before she even got to the actual platform. Her daughter loved the view though and was having a blast. Must be odd to live somewhere flat in all directions. She eventually got up and on it so I'm glad she conquered that moment.

some time after the burn. I believe the rangers won an award for their effort this year at morrow mountain. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

during the heatwaves this summer I began taking my walks around midnight. Empty streets and quiet homes let me hear the low hum of the highway far away. It was still like 80 Fahrenheit. #photography

I was met with a new sight when I peered through my backyard's tree canopy today. A bittersweet moment this year as another record breaking summer comes to an "end". #landscapephotography #naturephotography

Morning light in local haunts. September continues to be one of my favorite months to make images. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm ektar 100

im not the best at ID'ing flowers at home, let alone in the field, but pretty sure these are the invasive/ornamental creeping oxeye.

On the side of the mountain. Tough month for me, but I got my car back from the shop (again!) so I'm hoping I can go out with renewed vitality as summer begins to cool (which takes until November lets be real). #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

Very quick edit of the lunar eclipse last night from my front yard! I’m more sad that it reverted to 1080p than anything. I had it set to 4K :/ I don’t do astro at all, so quite pleased to get something. #lunareclipse

Never trust the weather app! Never trust the weather man! The best way to check the weather is to go outside!! Feel the wet air and touch the damp grass! That’s the weather! what a great two hours!! In my own driveway!!! I had fun. This may end my August Malaise.

Looks like rain is locked in for my partial lunar eclipse. I was really looking forward to photographing it for the first time too. 😔

a break in the August heat! I promptly took my gf on a walk this evening and brought my dslr instead of film. Mainly because I am low on ektar, but also because I feel compositionally rusty. #landscapephotography

one of the neighborhood barred owls stopped by my backyard last month. What a privilege to see them, even if they are the "common" owl here. I wish I could upload audio files, I've been recording them and their babies when I can hear them at night. Portra 800 #filmphotography #believeinfilm 🪶

The weather outlook has heat index over 100 for the next ten days, also nothing at Bortle 4 within three hours. Not only have they taken the night sky from us, but also forced us to bear the weight of an extinction event. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

Gusty winds ensured there never a still leaf during my misty climb up Elk Knob several weeks ago. After rain the night before, mist and fog lay a shroud upon this woodland that only cleared hours after sunrise.. ektar 100. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

The August Malaise has hit me full force. It's the heat and the dying world I presume. They used to send girls like me to the Sea to recover from these feelings, but alas. below, the last dregs of light from summer solstice. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

I think printing is a process designed to infuriate and force you to use professional printers. It really shouldn’t be difficult to get a great print at home. These things are possessed and intend to cause harm.

I dropped it on a hillside and now the aperture ring is jammed. :( I’ll Probably just risk the fog from shooting in “modern” slr with an IR counter until I can get it repaired (i think it can be).

Spent the afternoon shooting rollei infrared on my lynx 14. Such a fun camera just ignore the shoulder pain it brings.

An evening of odd light on this section of the blue ridge parkway. Also a good reminder that sometimes a 100-400 *is* for landscapes. I should have packed it instead of just my 100mm prime. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

exploring new locations. Peak summer is a tough time to make images as we all know, but I'd rather be out in it than stuck inside. Winter is coming (lol). #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

two recent roadside barns I stumbled upon. Not my favorite compositions ever, but I was hesitant to explore and quick to leave. #filmphotography #believeinfilm #landscapephotography

Had the opportunity to use lomo purple for a couple landscapes last month while doing some portraiture work. Interesting tones. Used a CPL and shot at iso 100. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

A bunny I saw at the edge of the wood the other week. ektar 100 | ef 85mm f/1.8 #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

It's official: I'm obsessed with infrared. I did discover that my lynx has a new light leak that shows up on occasion though. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

As the drought worsens and the heat dome settles in I get to review the images I took at South Mtn. A landscape forever changed after Helene. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography #believeinfilm

a rare rainy afternoon several weeks ago. It's been a tough spring with early summer heat (in excess) and as a bonus I nailed a deer coming back to town last week. The drought worsens though and I plan to keep photographing it this summer. #landscapephotography #naturephotography #filmphotography

My local camera store asked me to shoot a roll through their Lomo MC-A. Fun to shoot and surprisingly feature rich for a camera the size of an Olympus XA. Unfortunately, the results leave something to be desired. Not scanned or edited by me. Gold 200 #filmphotography #believeinfilm

The back door feels slightly flimsy. The lens is just not sharp enough and vignettes until f/8. I cannot tell why the autofocus chooses what it does. Idk, it feels so good in the hand too. I think if the results were just slightly better I'd be happy with it.

Nonetheless, there will come a time when our old electronics die. Ergo we need options like this and this is definitely a 500 dollar camera. We're just very used to film cameras being cheap. That world is dead and gone though, so you might as well welcome yourself to the real world.

To be clear, at least we got a new camera. There will be a day most electronic film cameras are dead. Including my precious 90's grails. It's better than a lot of PS cameras already out there. But I think despite being feature rich, each feature is about 10% off the mark.
