These animals were captured by camera traps installed with the support of Amazon Frontlines in Siekopai territory—where Indigenous stewardship protects biodiversity. Big Oil, deforestation, and climate change put all of this at risk. Protect the Amazon. Protect life #IndigenousConservation #Wildlife

👁 Indigenous Guards are ancestral, community-based organizations that defend life and territory. They include Indigenous youth and elders, women and men, who protect their lands and show the world what Indigenous-led conservation truly means. ✊🏽

📸Photography goes beyond images. “Stories in Territory” was developed by Johis Alarcon as part of the @catchlight-io.bsky.social Global Fellowship in collaboration with photography students and Indigenous communities of the Upper Amazon. 🔗View the Exhibition- amazonfrontlines.org/chronicles/i...

On September 26th, a message, “Noboa: The Amazon is Not for Sale,” was projected on New York's Astor Place Tower. This reflects a growing global demand, joined by international celebrities, for Ecuador to halt its oil roadmap, which plans to offer over 50 blocks starting this year. #futuroamazonas

"I'm proud that my story, #WeWillBeJaguars, has found a place in so many people’s hearts & minds. Today, we celebrate the anniversary of its release in the US. Thank you to all who helped this story travel so far." -Nemonte Nenquimo, Waorani Leader & Co-founder of Amazon Frontlines.

Listen. 🌬🌿 This is what the lungs of Mother Earth sound like. Indigenous Peoples and communities have been guarding, caring for, and coexisting with the #AmazonRainforest for millennia. Their stewardship sustains the Amazon, and the Amazon sustains life for all of us. Protect it. 🎥Amazon Frontlines

#AmazonFrontlines and #CeiboAlliance are training & equipping Indigenous communities across the Ecuadorian Amazon to help them pair their ancestral knowledge with #technology, using tools like drones, GPS, and camera traps to map and defend their rightful territories. 🛰️🌿

🤝The partnership between #AmazonFrontlines and #AlianzaCeibo shows that lasting change comes from unity: #IndigenousPeoples leading the defense of their lands, and allies standing with them—listening, learning, and supporting their struggle for cultural survival.🍃

📽 Four films directed by Amazonian filmmakers from the #AlianzaCeibo & #AmazonFrontlines community will be presented in #France at #FestivalDouarnenez on August 21 & 22! The 2025 edition of #FestivalDouarnenez, “Peoples of the Amazon”, spotlights Indigenous resistance.

🚨 On 10 July, Ecuador’s National Assembly will vote on a bill that will change the future of one of the world’s most biodiverse countries. The world applauds Ecuador’s leadership in conservation, but #DanielNoboa 's bill would undermine decades of progress. 📢 SHARE WIDELY

President Noboa’s “urgent” bill will become law in 2 weeks, unless it's stopped. It hands over ancestral lands to private interests, ignores Indigenous Peoples entirely, & violates constitutional and international law. It is an attack on rights & nature. REJECT IT. #ÁreasProtegidasNOprivatizadas

#Siekopai women from Peru & Ecuador gathered to share ancestral ceramic-making, dialogue & learning. A sacred Yoko ceremony strengthened spiritual & collective bonds.💚 With #AlianzaCeibo, we participated & learned about women-led initiatives to co-create strategies that foster sustainable autonomy.

In 2020, 15,800+ barrels of oil spilled into the Coca & Napo Rivers, devastating 27,000+ lives, especially #Kichwa communities. Their voices were dismissed. Justice delayed. ⏳On June 30, a landmark hearing will occur on Indigenous land! We stand with the Kichwa people in their demand for justice.
