There are real issues of antisemitism & Jewish inclusion in certain schools & teachers’ unions. And if you believe that public education & the right to organize/association still matter, know that this politicized report is part of the effort to destroy both. jewishpublicaffairs.org/jcpa-respond...

Since I have criticized legacy Jewish organizations for being unwilling to call out President Trump by name for antisemitism, I also want to highlight one organization that did.
A year after being called out for using the antisemitic term “Shylock” and claiming he didn’t know it was problematic, Trump has used it again. This is not an accident. Normalizing antisemitic tropes and conspiracy theories is deeply dangerous. www.forbes.com/sites/siladi...
I’m in touch with friends part of a group of 33 American citizens — including many rabbis & a soon-to-be-congressman — currently detained by the IDF because they were… peacefully harvesting olives in the West Bank with Palestinians & Israelis. Awaiting updates. @truahrabbis.bsky.social
Vital statement from our partners in the Conservative, Reform, and Reconstructionist movements calling on the Israeli government to release those detained, allow harvesting, and focus on holding accountable violent settlers: www.rabbinicalassembly.org/conservative...

An administration serious about countering antisemitism would not repeatedly normalize antisemitic tropes and conspiracy theories. We have an obligation to call out antisemitism wherever it exists — and when it comes from the president it’s especially dangerous.
Tonight Trump yet again used the antisemitic “Shylock” — a year after he was called out for doing so and claimed he didn’t know it was problematic. Again: not an accident. He has consistently normalized antisemitic conspiracy theories and tropes. www.msn.com/en-us/news/o...

However you feel about Omar and her policies, this should raise major red flags as the Trump administration continues to weaponize the federal government against its political opponents. apnews.com/article/ilha...

The President using racist lies to incite violence is a Jewish issue.
The President is using white supremacist replacement lies - “taken over” - to seemingly call for violence against the Somali community in Minnesota, while offering federal support in doing so. This is incredibly dangerous, on so many levels.
Jews are being used as political footballs — while our communities and our democracy are put at even greater risk. As we enter the final month of these elections, we’re imploring candidates of all parties to reject antisemitic tropes, conspiracy theories, and extremism. ✉️ Read our open letter ⬇️
Our open letter to political candidates and leaders: you have a fundamental responsibility to draw a line — rejecting rhetoric, tropes, and conspiracy theories that fuel violence and threaten our communities and our democracy. Read: jewishpublicaffairs.org/open-letter-...
These protesters have nothing to do with Palestinian rights or peace. Their goal is eliminationist — that any recognition of Israeli humanity is unacceptable, even if comes from someone like Mamdani and is part of a peace vigil. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/10...

Somehow, it’s been three years since we woke up to a nightmare. Our CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social reflects on 10/7, all that’s followed, and how we build a different future.
At a moment of real & rising antisemitism, extremism, & violence across the ideological spectrum, our communities deserve a whole-of-government response. This strategy marks an important step toward that goal — rooted in the recognition that Jewish safety and inclusive democracy must go hand-in-hand
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism.
And as I told the @nytimes.com, the policies outlined in the Mayor’s antisemitism strategy are exactly the kinds of policies we need. AND the strategy should be explicit about all the ways antisemitism manifests right now.
How normalized has neo-Nazism become? This guy marched in Charlottesville with League of the South — a white supremacist hate group we successfully sued for their racist, antisemitic violence that weekend. He will now likely be a FL legislator. Important story by letsgomathias.bsky.social
I spoke with @forward.com about the danger of this bigotry and our obligation as Jews to reject it.
Antisemitism and misogyny (and white supremacy, of course) fuel each other in a constant cycle — sowing division and distrust in order to undercut the very coalitions we need to advance our shared rights and safety. Gloria Steinem knew that. (via @forward.com)
This year keeps taking. Now Gloria Steinem. What a life she led and how lucky we are that she did. May her memory be for a blessing and a revolution. www.instagram.com/p/Dc0dotLOqU...
There is a video circulating of the “Son of Hamas” speaking at a Jewish event in LA. I’m not going to share the video itself because it’s so gross — but suffice it to say, his vitriolic anti-Muslim hate, and those cheering it, do not reflect Jewish values and it should have no place in our community
The far-left tells on itself when progressive Jews like @bradlander.bsky.social & @scottwiener.bsky.social are harassed and attacked like this. It has nothing to do with Israeli policy — and everything to do with pathological anti-Zionism morphing into antisemitism. It harms Jews AND Palestinians.
Brad Lander, a Democratic congressional nominee in New York City, faced heckling Saturday over his stance on Israel as he protested a Hindu nationalist politician speaking at Madison Square Garden.

I want to expand on this because there’s so much gaslighting & disingenuous commentary from both extremes. Whether it’s by an antisemitic leader, a government official, or an advocacy org, it’s dangerous to conflate Jews and Israel — and to conflate the Israeli people with the Israeli govt. 1/
There are multiple levels of cynical antisemitism embedded in Hasan Piker’s recent comments: Blaming Jews for the actions of the Israeli government. And then blaming Jews for antisemitic violence that targets them under the guise of protesting Israel. All of it is dangerous and wrong.

Feels like a good morning to re-up my conversation with @jenrubin.bsky.social last week about the Trump admin’s assault on our democracy — and the extreme voices trying to divide Jews from the very coalitions we need to fight back. @contrariannews.org www.contrariannews.org/p/magas-anti...

Jewish safety depends on a healthy democracy. In conversation with @jrubin.bsky.social, @amyspitalnick.bsky.social makes the case for rejecting the choice between fighting antisemitism and defending democracy – and recognizing that the safety of American Jews is tied to the safety of our neighbors.
