you ever get so excited bc you see a warbler on your walk from work to your car, but before you have time to id it a cat jumps out of a bush and kills it? emotional roller coaster of an event. and i’m still so saddddddd i didn’t even get to figure out what the lil guy was which makes it 10x worse

nothing has ever been so stressful as to try to legally change your name, find out after signing the papers (which state i do not owe money) that you're delinquent in local taxes (ty mom), have to pay for a surgery that's soon, then also have to pay those 4 years of local taxes all within 2 weeks

oh and my capture card broke 2 days ago... in other news the fact that a <1 hour surgery that does not require overnight aftercare costs 30k is ridiculous. thank god i hit my deductible and was almost to my max out of pocket. only 480 for a 30k surgery is a LOT better. but still, fuck us healthcare

splat3 is the only non childhood game simply because it has undoubtedly altered the course of my life in such a major and positive way i did play s1 and s2 and enjoyed them a lot!! but i’d be remiss to not put the game that actually changed me as a person on here

now that everyone has left the wouse i can finally sit down and make my riptide post! you know every year i think to myself how could the next riptide possibly outdo the experiences i had for that year, and time and time again it always comes true.

to overseer, thank you guys for taking a chance on me again and for just being good friends. and to the wouce squad i had so much fun hosting y'all and spending nearly all my free time with you guys. there were so many laughs and silly things that just made the weekend unforgettable.

i plan to get back on the grind and play as much as i can going forward, especially since i am once again applying to grad school this year and hoping to get in for fall '27. should i get in, i know my time playing splat and going to lans will be limited. but until then i'll be as active as i can!

to everyone i did see or meet, genuinely it means so much to hear from y'all. this year was by far the busiest i had ever been. i swear there was never a dull moment! it was so nice to be pulled aside for a signature or chat, even if i've lost my voice a bit because of it.

this year was the best i ever placed too. despite coming off a break beforehand, i feel like i played well and put on a show for the people who stopped by to watch. the moonlight and tzs set were by far some of the most fun i've had playing in some time and the crowd and hype only added to that.

i love all my friends and so many of the people i've met in this community. i adore being a player, i adore the TO and streaming side of things, and i love just meeting so many amazing people, both online and in person.

My time a Riptide 2026 cannot be described any other way besides incredible. It was almost magical getting to pair so many names with faces this weekend, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend a weekend with so many friends. Ggs, shoutout Overseer, and I’ll see you all soon!

a lot of people tend to think activism is all or nothing. in reality, there are so many tiny acts of resistance that can massively help out in the long run. one example is staying alive and helping others stay alive.

I know I dont have a lot of player followers but its retirement season so I have to say it. If youre a player you would be a better observer, commentator, analyst, or coach than many who arent. Or at least you would have a head start. If you're feeling burnt out, give it a shot. #compsplatoon
