Native gesture support on Hyprland has gotten so good. I still remember having to fiddle with Fusuma not too long ago. Keybinds can be cumbersome on laptop. Why not key "swipes" for core operations? #hyprland #linux

Spent a day thinking opencode's provider infra was broken. Constant timeouts. Turns out my ISP quietly boofed IPv6 routing and bun's Happy Eyeballs implementation was marching straight into a black hole. Pi was working fine throughout. Silver lining: using pi as daily driver now.

Just upgraded to Omarchy Quattro: love what they did with quickshell. No more hyprlock, elephant, walker, waybar etc. Finally threw out a bunch of old PY/QT tray utils and replaced with proper plugins for coretemp, opencode or even my old abraunegg/onedrive monitor. #linux

Ditching React Router for wouter in client SPAs and Electron apps is top-tier dev catharsis. Turns out matching a URL string to a UI component doesn't require a full-stack meta-framework. Who knew? #react

lnav is so ridiculously good for digging through raw logs (nginx, syslog, etc.) and make them actually readable! if you need to chain multiple ones, do quick filters, all just a keybind away. It really is the "htop for logs". Can't believe I discovered it only now. #linux

GDPR: you need consent to write an anonymous cookie to my browser. meanwhile: every site logs your real IP and user agent, indefinitely, no "tracking pixel", no consent needed. But sure, tell me again why cookies are the problem.

Streaks are one of the most annoying ways apps fake 'user engagement.' Social media, language apps, fitness trackers, the whole lot. Just make the thing do the thing and leave us alone.

It's a special kind of pain using a DE keyboard, needing non-deadkey backticks constantly for code docs, while also needing regular deadkey accents so I can ... spell my name. Spent the afternoon hacking together a custom XBD layout and now i can switch modes easily. #linux

I always find it funny when people say "this era will be judged harshly in history books". Like, if we've learned anything from recent world events, it's that nobody reads history books.

When you find out only two days later that your post was #3 on HackerNews ... server didn't even break a sweat. Guess the caching strategy paid off.

99% of tech forum/reddt threads: Q: How can I do X? A: Why do you even need to do X? A: Yeah. X is dumb. Do Y instead! A: Y? Are you for real? Z is the one true way! [400 comments debating Y vs Z]

First time trying wireless adb on Arch for Android debugging and the connection has been rock solid (unlike on Windoze where it's always been hit-or-miss). Turns out when the OS isn't trying to "optimize" your drivers into oblivion, things actually just work. #archlinux #androiddev

Just 're-pasted' my PC. Turns out the 'professional' computer store I bought it from years ago left the factory sticker ON the CPU under the cooler. I’ve been running a literal thermal insulator for half a decade.
