The definition of epic!!! Will be seated opening night!!! youtube.com/watch?v=bqeC...

Jordan Downey delivers an absolutely fantastic horror/thriller with one of the best reveals in years. Great script, excellent cast and phenomenal practical effects. Deborah Ann Woll delivers one of my favorite performances of the year. Go in blind and prepare to be blown away!

Rewatch complete of Tim Burton’s love letter to gothic Hammer horror films. Fantastic cast with Depp being incredibly quirky and an unhinged Walken. Great sets, practical bloody effects and a perfectly creepy and classic Elfman score add up to one of my favorite Burton films.

I’m back for my final UFOctober with CREATURE. While William Malone’s ALIEN rip-off isn’t a Roger Corman production, I saw fit to pay reverence to the King of B-movies by looking at how it bears all the hallmarks of a Corman film with the filmmaker’s longstanding legacy.

Happy cult movies Monday! We’re counting down the final days until Halloween at a Belgian seaside hotel with lesbian vampires and a lovable concierge! Taylor Eagan @poutmouth.bsky.social joins us to discuss Harry’s Kumel’s Daughters of Darkness! Available wherever you get your podcasts!

Favorite film in haiku: The hero is no more Doctor eight legs comes knocking Hero comes back swinging

As me just like that I’ve found a new favorite television series. Absolutely hilarious from start to finish with an underlying element of heart. One of the best ensemble casts in recent memory and instantly love able characters elevated by hysterical banter and non stop chirping.

Happy 30th to one of the goats. Tomb Raider. Been playing since the OG TR1 on PS1. My small collection of physical media continues to grow for it. (Not pictured 3 of the 4 gameboy/advance games I own). My comfort series. I adore the character. Here’s to more. #TombRaider

Few things better than finding a show that hits all the elements from humor, fantastic characters and great stories filled with heart!! Shoresy is must watch television!!

A solid villain origin story that shows moments of brilliance and then doesn’t capitalize on it fully. A great story by Flanagan elevates a standard revenge tale. Tom Rhys Harries delivers. The body horror elements are wince inducing and the third act club scene was fantastic.

This week on S&A we go crazy for Halloween 3 episodes 1 week

Rewatch complete of this totally bonkers story about a gymnast turned covert operative sent to a city filled with uneven bars and pommel horses. Fun acrobatic action, solid Richard Norton bad guy performance and the highlight a town of crazies is genuinely creepy and unsettling.

Ruin a song by adding "In My Pants" to the title. Terrible Lie In My Pants

Rewatch complete of Takashi Yamazaki’s modern day classic. Incredibly emotional story that does the impossible and makes me care as much about human characters as I do the creature. Amazing set pieces, fantastic performances, brilliant effects all elevated by a phenomenal score.

This feud’s gonna be amazing!!!! LFG!!!! #AEWDynamite #Wrestlesky

OKADA is hands down one of the funniest wrestlers working today!! His facial expressions are priceless!! #AEWDynamite #Wrestlesky

Rewatch complete of Cameron’s absolute sci-fi masterpiece. All the tension and action from the original turned up to eleven with great characters, bad ass space marines and more aliens. Weaver cements herself as one of best heroines ever. Beihn rules and Paxton steals the movie!!

This was a total surprise and an absolute blast! A ridiculous title delivers an earnest and heartfelt story of rekindling friendship elevated by a fun cast and tons of action. Hargrave delivers fantastic hand to hand fighting, hard hitting stunts and awesome vehicular mayhem!

DO A POWERBOMB is so fantastic. DWJ is the goat!

Rewatch complete of Robert Rodriguez awesome vampire flick! Great cast top to bottom, Clooney has never been cooler! Totally bonkers from start to finish filled with great performances, fun cameos, witty dialogue, amazing practical effects, a fantastic soundtrack and gory action.

Folks, what are some good ones I’m missing? My criteria for what is a tournament movie are in the list preamble.

Good things comes to those that wait. The 4K UHD steelbook for The Furious.

Kickboxer 4 is arguably the best example of this, because while the tournament is essentially the B-plot of the film, Pyun still gives us the fucking tournament, lol

This was fun. A video game adaptation that embraces the ridiculousness of its characters and action. I can’t hate a movie that hooks up Andrew Koji and proves Callina Liang is a superstar. Less Schultz please. Filled with fun video game action, a 90s soundtrack and some laughs!

Mike Flanagan does it again delivering a deeply emotional, scary and fantastic update on the classic King story incorporating modern elements like online bullying and school violence while keeping the core intact. Great cast top to bottom with Alison Thornton stealing the show.

Drop a film you saw on a first date.

Albert Pyun was out here doing this shit right for $2.50 and a six pack 30 years ago

If you set your movie in 1993 please don't use needle drops that almost exclusively came out in 1994

Rewatch complete of Rankin/Bass’s entertaining adaptation of Tolkien’s epic conclusion. A stripped down speed run of the story that hits the major points but doesn’t linger too long. Amazing hand drawn 2D animation, memorable songs and sound design along with a great voice cast.
