My 2 biggest sporting loves are Burnley FC and the Seattle Seahawks. Burnley haven't won at home for a full year whilst the Seahawks just set a team record 12 wins in a row including a Super Bowl! Seahawks doing a lot of mood lifting there! 🏈🤣

It's my first in person Burnley game of the season today. Apart from being bottom and looking awful, this week the CEO resigned saying it was working difficulty with the owner and the manager publically described a game on 19th September as a "must win". What can possibly go wrong?

I was a season ticket holder in the 1979-80 season when #burnleyfc didn't get their first win until November 24th. Season ticket holders had separate turnstile(s) and, it was that bad, you used to get laughed at for using them!

I'm taking the positives out of the Burnley performance. It at least felt something like there was something to build on. I think the key is going to be getting some stability. Being so chaotic is no way to start a season but hopefully signs of improvement!

Worrying for Burnley is that Alan Pace has been in charge of Burnley for 3 Premier League seasons and 2 when we went up from the Championship and our current best player is Satpayev, a loan player from Kazakhstan who has just turned 18... Makes it tough, even for us optimists!

Crystal Palace goal came from a free kick given for a no contact dive with the ref about 5 yards away. To make it worse Anderson got booked for it! Justice for Man City as they get the goal back straight away!

Taking the positives for Burnley we are far from the finished article and may end up losing more players before the deadline but definitely positive signs and some good attacking football.

I put in a garden wildlife pond last year and it's been great, frogs, newts, dragonflies, all manner of water insect life but I never expected ducks!

So pleased I stayed up for that, genuinely one of the best England performances I've ever seen in difficult circumstances!

Absolutely not a penalty for England for the Gordon dive. Problem for VAR in the Premier League is that doesn't get overturned because the ref gave it. They've created a divers charter where, if you are lucky enough to con the ref for the slightest of touches, it hardly ever gets overturned.
