Man, does this death hit me really hard. I loved watching the original animated L&S as well as the TV series spin-off. And this is one of the best ways to honor her. Would've really wished she could've met Maia Kealoha (and Sydney Agudong) when she was still alive...

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

More I think about it, it does look like the #AtlantaDream might win their first WNBA title. Can't get too mad about it. At least Atlanta will win another (sort of) major title besides winning the World Series in 1995 and 2021...

For the first time since 1980, a World Series where both teams are looking to win their first-ever title... and for the fourth time since it first happened in 2015, both teams are expansions. My prediction? Milwaukee > Tampa Bay in 6.

And my wish, as a Giants fan, was granted. Brewers swept our arch-rivals. Whether the Guardians or Rays win the AL pennant, I personally don't care. Although Cleveland has gone 78 years without winning a title since the days as the Indians. 50 years before the boys from St. Pete began playing.

ALCS: Tampa Bay vs. either Cleveland or White Sox NLCS: Milwaukee vs. Dodgers Please, let Milwaukee go back to the World Series for the first time since 1982...

NEW AD: Are you a data center company looking to take over rural Texas? Are you a crime-loving millionaire looking to throw the FBI off your scent? Are you a child predator looking to get out of jail after just 1 day? Call 844-WHOS-KEN to hear what Ken Paxton can do for you!

"Super intelligence" sounds like something out of a 90s kids action movie, not something you'd hear from the leader-in-charge at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue...

Trump: "Super intelligence, or SI. And that's the official name in the United States. I'll be signing a very powerful executive order. I spoke to President Xi. He loves it ... 'Artificial intelligence' is like the news. Fake news. I'm going to call them artificial news."

Just a reminder, this is NOT "ancient history", segregation and other racist practices are STILL within living memory, and individuals such as the 72 year-old Ruby Bridges are still with us today! A person who doesn't know their past has no future.

Mychal Threets@mychal3ts.bsky.social

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜

Big news: The family of Tierra Walker, who died after she couldn't get an abortion, is suing a slate of Texas actors in state court, including AG Ken Paxton. They say the state ban is unconstitutional. This is the first suit of its kind. 19thnews.org/2026/09/texa...

The only thing better than the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of mail-in ballots is the #CryBaby-In-Chief's predictable, but oh-so tiresome meltdown when he loses. #Waaahhh 😭 😩

#25thAmendmentNow (I'd be lying if I said Trump wasn't doing anything offensive related to 9/11...)

Mrs. Betty Bowers@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social

There have been so many impeachable offenses, but lying about how you were a hero on a day that 2,753 people died in NYC in the 9/11 disaster—when you were on the other side of town, safely calling local media to brag about how you now had the tallest downtown building—is such a despicable one

So... what idiotically offensive thing is the "president" going to post on social media when 9/11 approaches? Still, 25 years later, I have never forgotten the almost 3,000 people killed on that dark day in history. And I salute the brave men and women who gave it their all saving lives.
