If Trump tears down JFK's memorial we will build a new one for him in 2029 - bigger, brighter, than Trump's Arch. And we'll tear down the Arch. And we'll replant the Roses in the Garden. We will do these things.

Trump's lawyers are now threatening to demolish the Kennedy Center if he doesn't get his way. This is shameful and disgusting.

Here's more, folks, from the great attorney Steve Vladeck helping us sort through what just happened at SCOTUS and mail in ballots and how a judge could also rule against Trump on the case as early as tomorrow.

This is complicated, but a lower court in Massachusetts could rule tomorrow that USPS mail in ballots restrictions are illegal. I'm trying to make sense of it all, but here is CNN's good read.

CNN@cnn.com

The Supreme Court said that President Donald Trump could begin carrying out parts of an executive order intended to restrict mail voting, but additional legal challenges could hinder implementation of his plan before the November midterm election. https://cnn.it/46qIVGZ

I am a member of Humane World for Animals. This has to stop NOW. They are rounding up and selling these wild horses for $25 each to slaughter houses. Bastards!

Humane World for Animals@humaneworldorg.bsky.social

It’s up to all of us to ensure that the administration hears our calls to action—it’s up to all of us to ensure that Congress makes this the last time America’s wild horses undergo the immense terror of suffering of transport and slaughter. www.humaneworld.org/en/blog/amer...

Gavin Newsom is asked if he thinks he would be a good president. His answer is excellent. What do you say to this question: "Yes, I would be. Vote for me." That would seem self serving and would turn voters off.

Sealaska is a powerful voting block. It is on of the largest Alaska Native regional corporations representing thousands of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders. Mobilizing this constituency is vital in statewide races.

We are awaiting a ruling from the Supreme Court. We are also waiting on the Supreme Court for a a ruling on Trump's executive order on mail in ballots. Hurry up SCOTUS! And now we are also waiting on John Roberts to rule on the ballroom or if Roberts will send it to the full Court. Grrrr!

BREAKING: In unusual 9PM Friday Federal Register filing, Postal Service finalizes regulation to deny delivery of mail-in ballots not matching addresses in database BUT says won't implement 'til court orders are lifted. #SCOTUS still quiet. Doc: public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2026-17238.pdf

This is Marco Rubio in the new New Hampshire poll. Wow. I know Trump has openly been asking about Rubio, which must be embarrassing for Vance. If these types of numbers continue Trump may very well endorse Rubio for president. He has no loyalty and he will just want to look like a winner.

We need an independent FCC just like we need an independent DOJ. May that come with the 2029 Democratic President. I hope the judge grants the temporary restraining order in this case.

NEW: Federal judge has ordered Trump Administration to respond by Sept 3 to the new legal challenge from ABC Television, which seeks a temporary restraining order against the FCC's onerous review of ABC TV stations Probe was launched amid Trump complaints about ABC

Here is the new Fabrizio poll of the Michigan Senate race. El-Sayed leads by 1. Depending on the Margin of Error he could be up by 3 more or down by 3 more. There's only September and October left. Fabrizio is an A/B rated pollster.

Mary Peltola is the best. We need her to win! We are still waiting on votes from the primary last night to see how far ahead she is of Sullivan. It's almost like a good poll. I believe it's currently 48/45 Peltola.

Dan Sullivan has the audacity to brag about kicking Alaskans off their healthcare.

Nithya Raman, who is running against Karen Bass in the Los Angeles Mayor race, has hired Fight Agency for her campaign. Fight Agency is the firm that vetted Graham Platner. They openly dismissed accusations against him and were threatening towards former Platner staff that had concerns.

Gavin Newsom, AOC and Ossoff are holding Kamala Harris' Black vote to under 37%. That is bad news for her. That also means that if Harris runs, Black voters may not necessarily coalesce around her in the first voting state, South Carolina.

Rob Sand, the Democrat who is running for governor in Iowa, reposted me! About the whimsical miniature garden with the miniature Rob Sand yard sign at the Iowa State Fair. I posted it a few posts ago. Yeah!

This is A-d-o-r-a-b-l-e At the Iowa State Fair there was a whimsical miniature garden on display with - wait for it - a miniature "Rob Sand" yard sign! Democrat Rob Sand is running for governor of Iowa. Let's go!

Oh no. This is not good news. The New York Times has confirmed that Mary Peltola's campaign manager and former chief of staff Anton McParland has left the campaign. The Alaska Primary is Tuesday. This better have nothing to do with Kamala Harris. Why can't Harris just leave us - everyone - alone!

The 2028 Dem Primary Calendar is set. I think Gavin Newsom announces either the third week of November or December 1st. He'll have: 1) The midterm win at his back - wins that he was instrumental in with Prop 50. 2) The feel good vibes of the holidays. 3) The power of the governorship behind him.

And we're off and running! South Carolina first diminishes it's power to make or break candidates: 1) Black voters will not coalesce around a single candidate. 2) Candidates can gain with White voters. 3) There are five crucial states afterwards. I don't know why South Carolina pushed for this.

Chief Justice Roberts gave the Preservationists until Tuesday to file a response to Trump taking his ballroom to the Supreme Court. SCOTUS could stay the lower court order to stop construction, or they could halt construction until the Supreme Court could hear it. Good story!

Newsweek@newsweek.com

The fight over Donald Trump’s ballroom has reached the Supreme Court, with Chief Justice John Roberts giving a deadline for preservationists.

Mary Peltola formally rejects an endorsement from Kamala Harris. Peltola says she HAD NOT sought an endorsement and won't seek one. Peltola also said that she didn't approve a fundraiser by Harris and had no knowledge of it before it came out. Wow! Harris lost Alaska by 14 pts. Good for Mary!
