My main guiding principle in life: We can all do better, and we all need help. I hope the people whose lives I have touched will remember me by this phrase after I'm not around.

Let's be practical, not everything matters to the same degree. But where you draw the line between what deserves your effort and what doesn't, matters greatly, and says a lot about your character. #indiehackers #life #buildinpublic

Today I got tired of the unnecessary complications of using Cloudflare Workers and moved my app to railway.app. very happy with the result and expected costs. Still using Cloudflare for what it's good at: DNS and CDN, but I've lost faith on Edge functions and on serverless in general. #buildinpublic

railway.appRailwayRailway is an infrastructure platform where you can provision infrastructure, develop with that infrastructure locally, and then deploy to the cloud.

I did a usability test for my #MVP with my father. He was happy because he said no one is building products with people over 60 in mind. They don't care if older people figure them out or not. Do you agree? Is it true or do older people just tend to feel left behind? #buildinpublic #saas #UX

He also said my profile pic looks cartoony πŸ˜… I had to remind him that branding and style also change across generations.

Another great starter pack here

I've created a "Active Builders" Starter Pack. Reply and I'll add you. Repost so we can reach more people! go.bsky.app/6ozExsA

How do I balance indie hacking and wellness? I don't! I merge them into one thing! #indiehackers #buildinpublic #wellness

1. Living well (a good, healthy, and satisfying life) is no easy feat, but I believe we do have a moral responsibility to be well and to be the best version of ourselves, to minimize unnecessary suffering. Ours and of those around us.

If I launch my app and only friends and acquaintances buy it, does it count as real sales? πŸ˜… #buildinpublic #solopreneur #app

Sometimes I get overwhelmed when switching too much between deep work and zooming out. Any advice on managing feeling overwhelmed while indie hacking solo? #indiehackers #buildinpublic #dev #startups

Anyone using (or wanting to use) @nuxt.com with @trpc.io? I've created a module for integrating them in a way that feels very native to how things are done in Nuxt. Thinking of open sourcing it if anybody is interested. #nuxt #NuxtJS #trpc #backend #api #opensource #buildinpublic

We're completely different people in the morning and in the night. Different feeling of urgency, mental capacity, concentration, motivation. Integrating yourself through the day can work wonders. I'm a #buildinpublic night owl myself πŸ¦‰ and I've developed some useful tricks for #mindset:

My younger self tells me why he's proud of me, what he didn't expect, and what I should not lose. My older self thanks me for the efforts I'm making, reminds me not to lose faith, and to enjoy what doesn't last forever.

We're completely different people in the morning and in the night. Different feeling of urgency, mental capacity, concentration, motivation. Integrating yourself through the day can work wonders. I'm a #buildinpublic night owl myself πŸ¦‰ and I've developed some useful tricks for #mindset:

1. I've started recording video messages at night when I'm super motivated, for my morning self to watch. I talk about the things I've learned that day, the missions I have for the next day, the things that excite me and why. It helps me come back to that mental state and feel a continuity.

Free tool marketing allows the good ideas that are not commercially viable as a standalone product to still exist, deliver value to people, and become a source of users for your main product. #buildinpublic

So far it really feels like a place full of real people being authentic, candid, and supportive. I really hope it stays that way.

Let's make Bluesky a better place for indie founders. It's a fair criticism that Starter Packs were a great marketing strategy. That once the novelty wears off, Bluesky might go downhill just like Threads. And to prevent that, we need to put effort to nurture the community ↓

You are up to date.
