As an MPH student, let me tell you something: anything that connects to human health is part of public health. Laws? Public health. Workforce? Public health. Buildings? Public health. The goal is to give everyone a chance to achieve their highest levels of health. #HealthforAll #PublicHealth

Comic Relief LIVE at the Carnegie Hall — part comedy, part campaign to end childhood poverty.

I am furious after hearing what happened at Cornell University. Assault of any kind is not okay. No exceptions. The university should’ve protected the survivor, not its own brand.

It’s great to see that the American Public Health Association is doing a social media campaign on voting. This is your daily reminder that public health is not insulated from the government and the law. Check out their work below. 🗳️

APHA members live, work, and vote in every district across the country. That’s why it’s important that we all use our voice to advocate for change – in every state. #SpeakForHealth

This is one of the more challenging newsletters to write on US public health policy. Please feel free to give it a read. — I’m Annie He, and I’m an MPH student studying public health policy. I write about why public health and voting matter in the US. anniezhe.substack.com/p/the-presum...

Summer classes done ✅ Fall semester starts on August 31. Will be taking 4 classes. Any advice on time management would be greatly appreciated. #gradschool

I hope people understand why voting matters. The senators who are trying to take down Dr. Fauci are the same ones who got voted into office by their own constituents. #vote #publichealth

NYC is being flooded today, July 18, 2026. Kudos to everybody who is helping the community. This is another reason why public health is important. When flooding occurs, your community needs all the help it can get to keep life moving. I write about why public health is important. Links are in my bio

Public health is very reliant on grants in order to serve vulnerable people of all kinds such as low-income pregnant mothers and aging population with dementia. My take on the OMB policy proposal to cancel all grants that do not agree with the US President. anniezhe.substack.com/p/on-getting...

anniezhe.substack.comOn getting rid of all health equity focused programsI really do care about health equity focused programs very much. Why should you care about them as well?

Voted ✅ To all poll workers, thank you for your service. Daily reminder: Your vote along with the votes of your neighbors and your community together will get to decide the future for your district, your town or your city, your state, and your country. Plz vote in all elections every time.

I heard that the New York Knicks won against the San Antonio Spurs. My graduate school is based in Texas, and I’m based in NYC. Sorry, Texas, I’ll always be rooting for the Knicks! 😁

People look down on those who fight at home without guns for a better change, yet praise those who have died fighting for it. I celebrate the living and the dead who fight for it everyday. I challenge you to do the same. As always, please consider voting in all elections, federal, state, and local.

If you do not care what your government does, people lacking adequate food and housing will be subject to health problems that can lead to early death or disability. Be thoughtful about what you and your neighbors vote for. Your votes represent your district. anniezhe.substack.com #PublicHealth

The National Institutes of Health gave me a badge of attendance for their career symposium. Pretty cool! #publichealth

This is your daily reminder to always be civically engaged and to keep exercising your voting rights. Elections are not a one and done task. Elections do have a schedule. All elections (local, state, and federal) absolutely do matter. #democracy

Health equity is not a charity. It is not a mere race issue. Health inequities do exist via income, geography/location, gender, education, laws, policies, etc. It’s necessary to provide a reasonable level of medical care in remote or impoverished areas.

Had a wonderful time at the NYU Langone’s Health Equity Speaker Series featuring Dr. Yele Aluko. His presentation on health equity as a strategic business priority was great. The food was delicious. As a reminder, health equity is not a charity. It’s a topic that needs to be addressed.
