While the second hate campaign aimed at a trans creator in the last six months once again thrives over on Twitter, I’d hope the folks calling themselves allies who decided to go back over there because Bluesky is no different would consider not being there.

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Just sat down with #Clayface. I have a lot of thoughts but keeping things succinct: I like it. Tom Rhys Harries plays the role well, it’s shot very evocatively, and while I think the story (co-written by Mike Flanagan) is a little generic, I think this movie overall is a good foundation.

Like, if the plan isn’t to connect everything, and instead just produce high quality films and television under the same umbrella, that’s good, I just want someone to come out and say it so I can more easily enjoy things like Peacemaker and Lanterns and this movie w/o stressing whether its connected

I just wish there was more clarity for what the plan is with this movie, and with some of the other in development projects for the DCU (hate that name for it btw, but refuse to call it “the Gunnverse”). I know the big thing in the pipeline is Man of Tomorrow, but I’m not seeing the threads.

So if this movie is intended to be intertwined with this franchise, what is it? Is it a prequel? And origin story? And how will it be followed up? Alan Tudyk voices Clayface in CC, and while Clayface IS a shapeshifter, it would be a disservice to Harries to never bring him back, I think.

If this movie is meat to be standalone, like how Joker was initially, that’s fine and I think I’d even prefer that. Unlike say, the Sony spider-man villain origin movies (which are hit or miss in my opinion, though I’ve really only seen Madame Web and Kraven) there’s clearly creative intention here.

Unfortunately, there in lies, at least imo, a bit of a problem. I’m not 100% plugged in to everything James Gunn has been saying about the plan for the DC studios cinematic universe (starting with Superman 2026) and I know plans have changed. My point is, I’m not sure what the long term is.

I know Clayface already previously appeared in Creature Commandos, which also features Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., a character he also plays in Superman and Peacemaker season 2. So unless it’s been stated otherwise, Matt Hagen Clayface has already been established in this canon.

Another rough/concept sketch for tonight. This time featuring “Agares” from the Lesser Key of Solomon Goetia The Book of Evil Spirits. His description specifically was very striking to me though I think I can render him better with more effort.

People who actually play Fortnite: pitch me your game w/o mentioning collabs, crossovers, or outside IPs. What is the core appeal of this game?

Found this children’s picture book. It’s from 1992. Kind of an ISpy/Where’s Waldo but themed around Spider-Man and various other marvel staples. Not too familiar with the creative team behind it but the art inside is pretty stunning.

Each section is a double-page spread, and there’s a ton of personality everywhere. It leans towards humor and light-heartedness but there was obv a ton of effort in realizing this project.

Quick trad/concept sketch b4 bed. My own visual interpretation of “Bael” from The Lesser Key of Solomon Goetia The Book of Evil Spirits. #drawsky #tradsketch

To be clear, evil billionaire scumbag Zuckerberg shutting down the official No Kings account in the middle of nationwide protests isn’t a mistake, it’s an assault on a free speech and expression, it’s pure fascism.

Just sat down with #Whalefall. Up front, I like it. Classic story of a person coming to terms with themselves when presented with a life-or-death situation. Austin Abrams, aka Bryan from Resident Evil, melts into this role. Gets a little esoteric near the end but strong emotions throughout.

Rewatching TF bc it’s on Netflix rn. Bit of a nitpick, but it’s funny so- how is Alpha Trion the narrator for the holotape Orion Pax finds in the archives, when AT should be powered down in the cave, and the tape describes events that happen AFTER the MoL disappears?

Obv it’s just a production thing. You have Lawrence Fishburne on your movie, you’re gonna use him. Maybe Netflix made a mistake closed captioning that voice as “Alpha Trion,” or maybe Paramount or whoever provided the closed captions makes the mistake. However, if in universe it’s supposed to be him

Then I think it would be really funny if Sentinel Prime AI clone Alpha Trion’s voice to help make propaganda to serve his regime. Funny in a cosmic way, anyway.
