Before the invitations to the maskfurade go out, we have a very important announcement. Our dates are changing for the upcoming convention. Due to renovations, AnthroExpo 2027 will be happening at the end of May. Please read this notice for more information!

APPLICATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 5TH 2027 Our goal is to notify all DJs of their selection status by February 28th 2027 or sooner. Audition Tips n' Tricks We do not have things like favoritism or 'headlining' slots, we consider all performers equally important. Our main goal is to provide an experience that not only provides enjoyment for as many attendees as possible, but also a minimally stressful environment for our performers. Here's a couple of things we're going to be looking into with your submitted set: Flow What's your set like? Is it 4 to the floor all the way through, or is it a chaotic rollercoaster with more chops than a hibachi restaurant? The dynamic of your set will be considered into where and when into the lineup you may be selected. How is your energy? Are your transitions consistent? (I say consistent because smooth transitions are great, but there's something to be said about a wonderfully executed chop swap to a new track with good timing.) Availability By virtue of being more available during each day/hour of the con, you have an easier chance of being slotted, simple as. It's not a thing of favoritism, it's literally just easier to book if you're more flexible. Genres Just like with flow, your genre (or genres) may determine where you slot in the lineups should you be selected. We do our best to have a diverse arrangement of different genres with our lineups to give optimal options for our attendees to enjoy. We will be evaluating your set based on the genre(s) you perform in comparison to other performers in the same genre(s). Sound Quality We understand that high quality audio tracks can be difficult to attain for some, but SoundCloud/YouTube rips tend to have a quality lower than 320kbps which may not be noticeable in smaller settings, but makes a huge difference on our large soundsystem. While escorting him out of the building, we discovered Hugh may have swiped a few of your belongings. If you have anything missing from the convention, please reach out to us at registration@anthroexpo.net , and we'll check the lost and found to get them returned!

The CEOs tried to keep us contained, but with 1,867 attendees, 580 fursuiters in our parade, and $18,000 raised for our charity partner, AnthroExpo is now free from Weaselworx. We will see you next year for Maskfurade!
