Nicely done #dhl Damage a package, deliver it a day late, add a label giving me the right to reject it, then hand it to a driver who dumped it on the doorstep, rang the doorbell and ran away before I could see what syate it was in. A video doorbell, may I add...

So it turns out that Right-wingers are just as crap at game development as they are at comedy.

Far-right political party Reform UK has launched a new iOS and Android app which contains a basic high score game called Small Boat Scramble. In it, players are asked to repel boats carrying immigrants before they reach British shores: mobilegamer.biz/reform-uk-la...

I was turned down not too long ago for a job writing logic for what are effectively large robot vacuum cleaners because I 'wasn't qualified'. And here I am sat staring at mine, which has once again failed to determine if a point is in an axis-aligned bounding box and gotten stuck...

Third row seats for Billy Corgan doing Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness? Oh go on then. 15 year old me would shit himself if he saw this. Doubly so if he knew how I got the money...

I love the way Buienradar jumps from 'it won't rain in the next 3 hours' to 'it's raining right now and if you go back one hour I always said it was raining' in an instant. I love it a lot less when I'm 10 minutes from home walking the dog though.

#vueling: what a pity - we're going to have to split you up onto separate sides of the plane, several rows apart. Also #vueling: you can choose freely from half the syandard seats in the plane to sit together if you pay us 100 euros. Fucking hate that level of cynicism...

Why do streaming services such as #Disneyplus and #appletv claim to have certain shows if you look on their website but if you log in to the app to watch them they aren't there? Imagine if you paid a subscription based on that information...

<Googles how to enable a UI button in an app> <AI pushes all other results to the bottom and insists you need to click the button which is currently hidden> Can we *please* put AI on the backburner until it's not completely shit?

Hey #Avast Nothing says 'trustworthy security software' more than a sneaky unauthorised drive-by silent install along with another app, does it? I didn't install your browser, I didn't ask for it. As far as I'm concerned that makes it #malware

That would explain the references to nonexistent and unexplained variables, functions that don't exist and random inclusion of functions from other APIs I've seen... Can we just stop this? Please?

Can anybody remember what the actual hell I was doing with my personal project code before I went on holiday? I have a half-finished git commit, and no idea whatsoever...

To the #PostNL employee who turned up with a package, poked my door instead of ringing the bell and walked off 10 seconds later: Did you notice that I have a video doorbell?

God. Fucking. DAMN Albert Heijn is shit. I'm back on the 'check every single time because a random check picked something unscanned in his shopping' list. The kid scanned a single item twice.

Bonus points for getting annoyed that I didn't have ID to hand for alcohol. Sorry about that - everyone else just accepts the male pattern baldness and moves on...

Is it just me, or did #odido omit certain things from this leak disclosure email? Left: the email detailing what was or wasn't leaked (in Dutch) Right: haveibeenpwned entry taking information from their official disclosure, which contradicts it.

I guess the plumbers have a union too, then...

A fire has spread through the offices of Grand Theft Auto 6 developer Rockstar North, following reports of a boiler explosion earlier today. https://bit.ly/4quEIL6

Protip for Dutch residents: If you spend the rest of your new years holiday playing Doom or Quake it's like new years eve, but with less explosions and burning...

I know the industry is full of people who want to directly contribute to the next awesome game and make their mark, but right now I'm writing some tool stuff and it's weirdly zen and satisfying... Is that just me? Am I wierd?

I just did a stupid. Someone reported a specific game not working on a MiSTer core, so I *Grabbed the game *Installed it in an emulator *Saved out the memory *Disassembled it *trawled the memory for the suspect code... *...fired up the core to see what was happening. want to guess how that went?

Maybe I should've started with the last step, then i would've realised that there was absolutely nothing wrong and then grabbed a cup of tea and carried on with my life...

Dear charity collectors, I don't give at the door because I know that I need to donate for months just to cover your cut. I skip straight to direct donations. I just don't feel like funding your weekend beers in place of whatever situation you're exploiting. So bugger off.

Here's a random computing question: *Apricot were around first. *Apple wanted to be in the phone book before Apricot *Acorn wanted to slip in before Apple *The Dutch.... went with Tulip. Why? Aardbei (strawberry) was right there and basically unbeatable. Why throw away a victory like that?
