I may have stopped taking commissions because one too many people didn't respond positively enough upon receiving them. Or maybe I wasn't satisfied and would have read negativity into anything they said. Feels like a miniature self-inflicted trauma. I wonder if I can resolve it the same way...

If you think you've run into anything that seems difficult or tedious in Blender, no you haven't. You just haven't learned the shortcut yet. There is always a shortcut, which is why I thoroughly believe those clickbaity "100 Blender Tips and Secrets!" videos should be required viewing.

To anyone burning out on commissions, I have a low stress commission idea for you: The basic sketch page. Take payment, receive character references, and then fill a page with roughly a dozen of whatever quick doodles of those characters you want. Full artistic freedom. No quality expectations.

For the buyer, it's hard to be disappointed when given a dozen doodles, even if they're quick and cheap, and for you, the burden of creativity and quality is low. Them maybe if they like one a lot, you could take a commission to finish it, or someone else could. I recommend testing it out!

I really have to start drawing very poorly. It is crippling to feel like I have to produce images that reflect any level of skill when I sit down to draw. It prevents me from drawing things I'm bad at drawing. Maybe some sort of program that automatically deletes your work after 10 minutes...

When my "socialist" money goes to help society, that's someone who won't be forced to steal to eat. That's a homeless person off the streets. That's an educated population, which Democracy absolutely requires. When my taxes go to subsidizing the wealthy, they take rocket rides to space for fun.
