Me and my 4 inch spandex shorts with the butt lift seam will continue hip thrusting that man’s weight while he stands on stage and struggles under the weight of the microphone.

Love this. My personal least favorite kind of critique is when someone points out you’ve done something suboptimal without considering whether you may have had good reasons, like balancing competing interests, or working within constraints.

If you absolutely must provide constructive criticism, try to choose those things which are: * Not obvious to the recipient * Easy(ish) to correct/change * Specific * Solicited!!! But like, always remember that compliments are constructive feedback too.

Received my first sponsorship offer from a personal injury law firm and I think this means my little corner of the advertising business has finally arrived. Think of who we can get now — Chia Pet, the Foreman Grill, “HEAD ON — APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD.”

The phrase I would like to smack out of the mouth of every sports commentator is “like we talked about” and all its permutations. Nobody cares if you mentioned this earlier in the broadcast or predicted it or whatever. We probably weren’t listening then and it doesn’t matter now anyway. Move on.

Free NFL halftime show idea: the Normal People Bowl. Recruit 22 people ages 30-50 who meet minimal physical requirements for safety but are otherwise as physically average as possible. Coach them up to play a single series in full pads, film it like a normal game. Make sure they sign waivers.

I very much enjoy the manwich that is Adam-Ben-Adam, talking about things that are wholesome to them, from secondary fridges to vulnerable mental health talk. Listen to their free eps and consider joining their Patreon, especially if you already love @greatesttrek.com or @aragusea.bsky.social!

Wholesome is among my "only cancel in the event of actual bankruptcy" podcasts because listening to @benjaminahr.mobi @cutfortime.bsky.social and @aragusea.bsky.social just talking about delightful things actively pushes back against the otherwise constant stream of terribleness in the world.

Don’t forget to take a listen to this secret podcast! And if you already like the show, we’d appreciate a post or a reskeet about what it means to you.

Quixotically entering my first aquascaping competition, trying to take the contest photo and remembering that being ok at video ≠ being good at photography.

It’s really not an overstatement to say that Dolly’s death is to East Tennessee and greater Appalachia as QEII’s death was to the UK. And Dolly was vastly less polarizing. If she were to lie in state at Dollywood, the line would stretch into North Carolina.

Saccharine, self-congratulatory NFL promos about character and community service turn out to be exactly the kind of nauseatingly hypocritical public performances of virtue that were holding civilization together all along.

I'd guess this too but only 4/15 were on GH or an analog. But researchers may have gotten a better read if they'd asked current and PRIOR use. Might narrow it down. Also not noted in the article GLP-1 use. Getting more common in that group to try and counter some of these bad effects

We still don't know which bodybuilding drugs are responsible. My money is on the growth hormone. But this is the strongest evidence yet pointing in the general direction of the problem.

Pharmacologically enhanced bodybuilders all had much bigger visceral organs than the natural bodybuilders or the control group of normal people, even though their diets were comparable to the natural group.

It might not seem fun siphoning fine particulate matter into a bucket but wait until you see those particles arrange themselves into compact geometric shapes because science.
