but do not forget the subconscious waters of the mind move in mysterious ways some days a still ocean some days turbulent waves it's up to you to identify which it is and whether the message is a message in a bottle or just debris of the past brought up from the depths

i just had a strange reaction to drawing an ugly { brace and going to erase it to draw a better one, and then suddenly feeling quite bad for it. it's serviceable, i was just destroying it based on appearance. and then i wondered if i shouldn't feel the same way about the things i draw

i feel like if i had to define a "soul", this is what it is. the substance is no different than something random and indiscriminate but it forms in a way that establishes a connection to something outside of itself. even a fleeting attachment to a crooked line if you're as unfortunate as myself

abella has an intellectually stubborn "not giving up until this makes sense to me" nature which i think makes her brittle to moonscorching. o'saa, though highly ambitious and self-centered, has a curious go-with-the-flow (if it suits me) nature that i think does the opposite. not just his training

i don't think moonscorching reflects the insecurities of the victim, i think it reflects how they think they have power. the tragedy is in when the person is guilty or ashamed over the power they hold, which is the case for many of the contestants. but i think explains the gap for a few of them

knowing his other dialogue i feel like this is all said with a laugh behind his voice. like "ha, really? ridiculous." especially since after everyone goes "what the fuck?" his response is "..." like oh. that was out of line huh

also this comic is on the heels of this actual interaction if you talk to your party in the bookstore and o'saa says something completely uncalled for that everyone in the party goes "o'saa, what the fuck" to. it's so funny i think this is the nastiest comment from him in the entire game
