I've hit the wall in this book, which means now I'm staring at my notebook and still trying to finish this draft. I'm gonna do it, but woof, I am not loving where the last draft left me for this section.

T-Minus 2 days until I leave for my steampunk convention. I'm as prepared as I can be but I still just keep thinking I've forgotten something major. One of these days I need to make myself a document for everything involved in prepping, setting up, etc.

Still plugging away at my current WIP and today I broke the 50k mark. I have a little less than 30k to go, and if all goes to plan I'll finish this draft RIGHT before I leave to go to the beach for a week.

The one perk of being laid off is that after tomorrow I'll have plenty of time to focus on working on Hallowed Ground. I've been doing decently after work, but having it be my primary focus for a few weeks will be rad.

Existentially exhausted bc I was laid off today so along with STRESS about my current book now I get to wonder if I'll be able to make rent in 2 mos. I would just like to be stable for more than 4 mos at a time.

Rewriting Hallowed Ground with the intent to query again is both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. Exciting because I love this story and I want it to find readers. Terrifying bc the thought of re-entering the query trenches is...WOOF. But let's get these words.

TODAYS THE DAY. Book 2 in my urban fantasy romance series aka "Supernatural but make it sapphic" is up on Netgalley!! When “humans first” hunters begin targeting anyone with magic, only a battle-scarred hunter with a legendary weapon, and a witch who can hear the dead can stop them.

ARC Call! (Link is in my bio) for Sins of Survival! Dani & Emilie return to take on anti-magic hunťers looking to eliminate anyone with magic, a monster from beyond the land of the living, and a tear in the veil between the living and the dead in book 2 of the Legacy of Shadows series.

I guess this has probably already gone viral somewhere but I am simply dying at this picture of a bear that looks like it hired a photographer to do a glamour shoot

Last book: A hunter & a medium take down a paramilitary operation attempting to "cleanse" magical people and discover a parasite manipulating hundreds of people in the process. [SINS OF SURVIVAL] Next Book: A pack of traumatized 20-somethings fight back against property development & god.

idk if I so much have an author "brand" as I write people who are fighting back against things larger than them with every tool in their disposal. After all, a creature backed into a corner will fight to survive, any way it can.

After several years of being stuck and then unstuck, and 9-10 months of drafting, Sins of Survival is done...for now. It goes out to my team later this week, and the editor in November and I'm so excited but also absolutely exhausted. I would like to order 1 3-day coma plz.

Put on Jurassic Park for drafting background noise, and knocked out an almost 2k chapter in just over an hour. 5 chapters to go, and then I can shoot this baby off to beta readers and sleep for a week.

7 chapters to go and I'm supposed to go to the beach this weekend, which means spending half of my night prepping for that. I'm gonna squeeze in writing time this weekend if I have to go hide under a bed and type under the covers I swear.

Broke the 80k mark on Sins of Survival last night. I haven't been this deep into a draft since spring of 2021. I started writing Sins in early 2021, and since then it has been a singular obsession that has haunted my time. In November it goes to the editor. 2026 release, here I come.

Devolved to the point where I feel like a shady book dealer standing in the alley with a trench coat like. "Hey kid, you want some queer urban fantasy? I've got hunters, witches, and flirting with knives in haunted houses." *flashes open coat to reveal Cinders of Yesterday*

Okay friends. Events with author alley, bookish selling events, cons, book fests. Which ones do you know of that I should know about? I have a handful on my schedule but I wanna diversify, and could use 8-10 more each year. If you know of a great event [east coast preferred] LMK below!

Migi has their post on OUAC out. Mine will be coming later this week, including deets about the Discord, doubloons, staff bailing, and more bc I am neurotic and watched everything begin to slow-mo explode in real time.

alright you drama hounds, here's my statement on the #ouac shit show. if you derive any pleasure or schadenfreude from this, you are contractually obligated to buy one of my books. that's the rule! www.tdcloudofficial.com/post/once-up...

Today was exhausting and almost my *entire* take from OUAC just had to go towards a new laptop bc my PC was having so many issues today I had to leave work early and have a panic attack about it. I'm SO tired of never getting ahead, and instead getting shafted every time I think I've made progress

Home from Once Upon a Con, and while I'll have things to talk about later it was a decent con for me. I got to meet readers, sold some books, and got to run panels for the first time. Imma need moar bookish events in my future...

Packing the car for Once Upon a Con, and yall I spent 10 mins desperately running thru the house looking for my author banners before I found them in the bedroom. I'm fine. This is fine. I'm definitely not running on adrenaline and excitement.

I think I just found my editor for SINS OF SURVIVAL which means I have just over 30 days to finish this book and send it off to beta readers. I've been working on Sins since 2021 and she's almost ready to be seen. I'll be doing panic circles in the hallway while I realize how close I am.

If I can manage 1.2k/day for the next 2 weeks I can finish this draft. The problem is that I ALSO need to edit and polish 6k for my writing workshop by 8/10/25 All words all the time is the current vibe.
