CONVINCED transmeds would make excuses about why they should be able to play the phobic wizard game, watch the series, etc.

"I've decided for myself what you are" is an ever-popular sentiment of bigots.

On a related note: Your sense of ick is not a moral high-ground. If it were, that would make the bigots right about you. (They're not.)

Don't be a bigot. Don't be a puritan. Don't spend your time kicking others for how you imagine them to be. Treat others with the grace you would like to be afforded. This isn't complicated. It's not even difficult. Do better.

Sometimes I'll try to relate or commiserate or be humorous in an attempt at friendly banter, and the other person won't understand, and i immediately begin plummeting through the abyss. Even an innocent "huh?" gets me. Sorry for being indecipherable and strange. It will continue to happen.

Just unfollowed an artist I commissioned in the past for not using alt text. The offending post? A request for commissions, with examples of their art (and no alt text), which prompted me to check their profile to see they weren't and hadn't been using alt text, at all.

If that's you: It oughta be easy to say a few words about your art, but y'all are so used to walking by people holding their arms out, you'd walk right by even if THEY were offering YOU support. Shriveling creatures, withering by consequences of your own apathy. Pathetic. Sickening. Loathsome.
