Remembering Sir Neville Marriner, our founder, ten years on. Watch him at work with the orchestra he founded, and hear our principal first violinist Harvey DeSouza on what made him extraordinary: "He will never settle for anything less than 100%." Thank you, Neville. #SirNevilleMarriner #ASMF

Rehearsing is one thing. Performing is another🎶 When you play something like Paganini alongside Joshua Bell, it's not just about hitting the right notes. It's about finding the character in them, the coquettishness, the personality that makes the piece come alive. Listen to his new album PAGANINI!

Meet Kynan, one of our most recent Associate Fellows🎻 Our applications for the 2026 Associate Fellowship are still open. We're looking for 2 early career violinists ready to work with the ASMF, get one-to-one coaching, and programme your own chamber concert. Applications close 19 August.

How ASMF began🎻 Neville Marriner, Michael Bowie and Simon Streatfeild started with an idea: a different kind of ensemble. More flexible. More collegiate. What they built became one of the world's premier chamber orchestras, founded in 1958 and still conductor-less today.

Before the applause comes the rehearsal✨ A glimpse behind the scenes as ASMF and Joshua Bell prepare for the next stop on our 2026 European Festivals Tour. Remaining performances: 📍 23 July – Rheingau Music Festival 📍 24 July – Rheingau Music Festival 📍 25 July – Rheingau Music Festival

Did you know Joshua Bell recorded the soundtrack to the iconic 2004 movie "Ladies in Lavender" with Nigel Hess? 🎬🎻 Here is a behind-the-scenes look at Joshua rehearsing this piece with ASMF in Italy back in 2022. No matter when he plays it, his performance is always unforgettable. #asmf

Some of our favourite moments at Bravo! Vail happened off stage🌿 ASMF spent 3 nights at this year's festival, along with pianist Anne-Marie McDermott and Joshua Bell. Mountain air, good company, and beautiful music. 📸 Photos taken by our Associate Principal Cellist, Will Schofield

We were delighted to return to the Wargrave Festival with ASMF under Tomo Keller. From first note to last, it was a night of joy, and orchestral brilliance in an intimate setting that made every moment land just a little deeper. 📸 Tim Hodges #ClassicalMusic #WargraveFestival #ASMF
