Never played Resident Evil, but I like that old PS1 vibe so I'm interested as an outsider. I'm watching the 2026 movie rn as a standalone thing, not as a replacement of the games, just to see what the movie hype is about. Wish me luck

Autism was never a linear scale, what most people imagine when they hear “spectrum”. It’s like a square, rainbow-gradient, X/Y graph… or like the levels on one of those audio-mixing desks.

CHROMALEES is still going to be released at around $20, regardless of development time. In my opinion, Indie games should be accessible to everyone!* *as much as is financially feesable for the developers, without being greedy moneybags… (Continued on next thread)

My point isnt to try and pretend that 7 years of on-off development is the same as 7 years full time, or that every game has the luxury of being so financially cheep… Im just laying the groundwork for my personal experience, and thus, my answer… (Continued on next thread)

I personally wouldn’t inflate the price of a game based on the time it took to make… As a solo developer, artist, and composer who does everything himself, the only real cost is from whoever is funding me to not die of starvation for however long developer takes. (Continued on next thread)

The development of CHROMALEES started around 2022, and with an estimated release date of early 2029 (assuming I can secure funding by the start of next year), that will put the full development time at around 7 years.. (Continued on next thread)

I like how AI people think walking down a hall for no reason and shooting a single enemy is a video game, just like they think a 30% implemented knockoff of Photoshop is a threat to Photoshop because AI is magic to them. Surely the difficulty of finishing is linear and exactly the same as starting?
