Love to see Thames Warer 'protecting our environment' greenwashing ad being displayed on an ENTIRELY SUPERFLUOUS LED PANEL installed in the side of a van.

Video walls/large displays have enabled lots of cool artsy things but I'd uninvent them in an instant if I could. The throw distance of projectors would add a nice hassle hurdle for the 'advertising screens everywhere' mob, while not limiting art/theatre *too* much.

Of course ultra short throw projectors would be strictly limited to personal/creative uses only.

Yes I'm 'only' 50 hours up 7 weeks into the year and yes I've had a weeks holiday but two of those working weeks were a living nightmare in terms of stress and I've worked 6 out of my 15 ('limit not a target', 'exceptional circumstances only') 15 hour days already. So yes I'm fucking knackered

One thing that can really fuck you up working in theatre is the bro-ness about hours. It can lead to a situation where you can feel silly for complaining about being 'only' x hours overworked until you hit some magical record.

Enjoying the drama of a pub landlord and a quizmaster gossing about how another quizmaster is buying his quizzes online but charging pubs stupid rates.

Oh lol it gets worse, I don't start clawing hours back until mid December by which point I'm 100 hours up on where I should be

going into tech for my third continous week and second simultaneous show alongside the most draining show of my career is breaking me a little and I'm working 15hr day - 11hr break - 'normal' shift - 15hr day to top it all off Yay for working time directive waviers

incredibly funny that Wunderland Update and Make Some Noise have the same theme song

So the Met recently lost a proposed $25m a year from the Saudi government, and is only selling 80% of their tickets. So Zohran is giving them some money out of his $323m culture budget in return for 10% of tickets they can't sell at the moment to first time Met goers. What an incredible win-win.

Never been to the opera before? Now’s your chance. We’re giving away 70,000 free tickets to the @metopera at the iconic Lincoln Center. Go to on.nyc.gov/opera to enter the lottery. There’s not a bad seat in the house.

Hey with the new worst shop in London opening soon we'll finally have a central london location to protest the mould infested billionaire without putting undue burden on railway staff. (Who I do not envy having to deal with the idiotic decision to put a tourist trap in a busy railway station)

Ties in nicely with this (last?) week's @railnatter.uk I imagine it was a little more tricky because of the confied spaces but still mind bogglingly short sighted that TfL didn't/couldn't (#abolishtreasury) make use of historically low passenger numbers to go on a renewals frenzy.

Placebos are great, just took my multivits and I actually feel vaguely human today compared to yesterday? Probably plus having a little more sleep

GOOD THINGS: 🦽 low floor train for full level boarding 🚲 4 horizontal bike spaces BAD THINGS: ⭕ TPE is a 125mph intercity service, these trains aren't 📏 200m platforms, 121m trains, we did it again 💰 GBR brand but trains owned privately at high cost 🔋 batteries instead of wiring measly 45km

The 121m long, 5 car units will take advantage of the wires that will be installed between Manchester - Leeds and the ECML, as well utilising battery technology to serve Hull, Scarborough and Saltburn. This will require charging facilities to be installed at those stations 2/5

Never realised that 'iust get a little black dress' would apply to me but my god Never been great at fashion, but coming out I nailed pretty almost immediately. A few months for sexy (SFW), add a year for sexy (clubbing), but fuck l just nailed hot. 🧵1/2

sorry I'm late gender happened

Was absolutely not my intention to go this hard for a close friend's theatre sharing but no way I was taking it off after putting it on (yes the tags are still on). And to think I was disappointed for only one piece from my usual charity shop haunts. 🧵2/2

Look into the face of the far right - that man with a stick is the perfect image of what a Reform obsessive looks like - finally , a National Front that is given proper support and encouragement by the media

Recommend this for my favourite journalism trope of all time: a interview subject mentioning offhand someone they met once 20 years ago, immediately followed by a quote from said person.

Here's an oral history of maybe the most venerated front page of The Onion of all time. You'll get the 9/11 edition along with this month's paper in the mail in a couple of weeks.

If you are or know someone looking to adopt a kitten in London, please get in touch. She's scared but nevertheless already very friendly and likes to sit on laps.

If anyone can help me more directly find a home for this poor little cat do get in touch! She is currently in my bathroom and I'm calling shelters, but so far not getting anywhere much.

Recommending www.drydock.org.uk if you're ever in Weymouth, a lovely low-key queer friendly sober pub. Only stuck my head in for 30 seconds (to check if they were serving the required end of holiday scones) but it took less than half of that for me to feel completely at home.

It's actually depressing how much seaside towns have been chatgpt-ified. 70% of businesses are absolutely plastered in AI posters. I left the city to escape the toxic corporate hellscape for a week, not get immersed in it. www.404media.co/we-are-livin...

didn't get my basically 1 of 1 dream job :( Was trying my best to not but maybe got a little too invested in it. At least the the rejection letter is the nicest I've ever had.

This 1000% With pubs it is also massively contingent on the management. No matter how great the staff at your local spoons are fostering a community takes time, and that runs completely counter to the companys' aims of providing food and drinks as cheaply as possible.

Fuck off american 'non-partisan' use ai to contact your reps app. The spam here is getting as bad it was for me on the other place, though I think I got off lightly there

huh the sun and the moon get weirdly close together tonight maybe someone should do something about that

Oh fuck right off (not you scott, love ya, almost said hello at trans pride but thought I'd leave you to your fun 🙂)

Channel 4 has announced documentary “The Great ADHD Myth?” It “seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct.”

@beeper.com would really appreciate if you took a look at my 'DM's only in unanswered filter' bug report, the app is amazing and this feature actually working would make it even more incredible.

"Do the thing you can do instead of beating yourself up over not doing the thing you're not doing" is honestly life-changing, even life-saving, advice.

This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.
