Celebrity encounter: I met Senator Elizabeth Warren while back to school (college) shopping - me for my kid, she for her grandkid. Thanked her for her work and got a hug. She said “keep up the fight.” She is kind, gracious, and generous. I’m not a fan girl type- but I cried with joy and hope.

Growing up, I attended Sunday school every week. My teachers were Bill Watterson, Gary Trudeau, Berkeley Breathed, Charles M. Schulz, and Gary Larson. The best part was being able to show up in my pajamas and eat pancakes during class.

So… firing and closing federal programs leads to not informing people of danger on public channels, instead posting Federal weather watches on X. Who would have thunk the messages (inadequate due to firings of scientists) would not have reached the public at large. Tragic for Texans.
