Finally, the Orange Buffoon has said something that makes me titter. His hatred of windmills immediately brings to mind the phrase 'Tilting at windmills' - how incredibly apt.

I was horrified to hear that applying for a visa for the US requires disclosure of all social media accounts. A friend was denied a visa because of a post critical of the Orange Buffoon. Sm now - next a brain chip inserted to monitor our thoughts? '1984' is looking frightfully tame.

When your bots can’t turn up…

I wonder why I suddenly thought of the phrase 'No fury like a woman scorned'. I guess 'woman' could be replaced with - oh, whatever...

Should I be ashamed that I think it is utterly delicious that Trump and Musk have fallen out???? Not that it wasn't totally predictable, but it happened a bit earlier than I had expected.

How deeply embarrassing for the BBC: Zelensky speaking in Ankara this morning. BBC's text: 'He speaks Ukranian'. Honestly. Either show it with immediate translation or don't show it at all. I am pretty sure our licence fees would cover the odd interpreter.

For how long must we be exposed to constant coverage of red hats and boring smoke before the new Pope is elected? Am I in a minority to find this very, very boring? There are other important things happening in the world...

In honour of the stunning weather Laika and I dug deep into our aged, depleted energy supplies and wandered the perimeter of Culzean Country Park for 3 hours this morning

Bluebells, Pinkbells and Whitebells. Is this normal? - it is the first year I have seen those colours in one patch.

I am an avid reader of fiction. One thing that puts me completely off reading a book is a 'Prologue' - this hugely fashionable way of starting any story. The first few times I encountered one I didn't mind. Now it irritates me immensely. Just get on with the story, will you...

The increasing amount of nasty, aggressive posts on here is very sad. It was bound to come as people migrated from Twitter. I just did not expect it quite so soon.

I have seen no posts about yesterday's demonstrations in the US. I am fervently hoping that is not because they were less successful than the first one. Does anyone know?

If I lived in the US I'd have this post blown up to massive poster size and put it up everywhere there was a surface. Mothers know.

Ooooh - this is delicious. Musk totally disagrees with the tariffs. The divorce proceedings cannot be far off!

A friend still on Twitter sent me this: x.com/EastEndJoe/s.... Worth a few minutes, sound on.

I saw a marvellous post of Trumps unintelligible rant regarding the marches - now I cannot find it again. I'd be enormously grateful if someone would post it again!

Watching a recording od 'Twitter: Breaking the Bird'. Interesting, but I am deeply frustrated by the fact that barely five words are spoken by the founders without a 'like'. I actually believed the use of that filler word was a sign of low intelligence. I don't suppose that applies to them.

Someone else probably already posted this - just saw it on FaceBook, and it strikes a chord.

I see Elonia has bought his own dying Twitter/X. Words fail me.

Short thread. Of all the stuff posted about the Spring Statement, the loopiest comments were from a certain L Truss. Which got me song writing again... @caroljhedges.bsky.social @kevmoore.bsky.social 1/12

Here are some ‘more’ gratuitously unflattering pictures of Elmo…👇 So naturally, you know what to do. Enjoy. 😎✨

BREAKING: People are being suspended on X in Turkey for posting videos of these protests against Erdoğan’s corrupt and repressive regime. Keep sharing everywhere.

I have suddenly been followed by a huge amount of people. I am grateful but do forgive me if I take some time to follow back. I prefer to vet each and every follow, so it will take a while.

Happy Sunday lovely phone family. It's frosty here, but at least it's light! I'm utterly bemused at how we've allowed our world to be shaped and controlled by greedy psychopaths. Clearly it's nothing new. When will we learn that they only serve themselves? Have a fab day 😘 #HaveCourageAndBeKind

Please have some respect for Agent Krasnov...

@auldskater.bsky.social Thanks for following me.

Laika loves the beach so much her wag becomes a circle - she thinks she is a helicopter. Unfortunately, she got into something disgusting and ended up at the vet for a jag to make her sick. One full bowl of black, stinking stuff. Ah well, no more off lead beach walks for a bit...

This needs going viral. Repost people, repost

Regardless of the fact that Zelensky has thanked the US many times, should he even have to? We are helping Ukraine because we don't want Russia to advance (- unlike Trump). We are protecting the West, not just one country.

I just told Speaker Hoyle to keep Trump out of Parliament - will you do the same? actionstorm.org/petitions/du... #DumpTrump

In these depressing times I had a lovely five minutes on this morning's doggie walk, when two robins fed from my hand. I have tried for so long to get them to dare landing, and today they did. Unfortunately, I could not get a photo as my dog does not have opposable thumbs.

I fear that Trump will not live long enough to be properly made to suffer for his heinous acts. He will either die naturally, as those of us who share his age expect to reasonably soon, or someone will have the guts to assassinate him. A quick death is too good for him.

From Facebook:

I am taking a break from this site and MSM. Trump's relentless march to destruction of all we hold dear is too distressing. I don't have decades of life left, so what I have I want to enjoy as much as possible.

Trump is meting out 'punishment' in the form of tariffs to those who displease him - like a primary teacher issuing lines. Like a bad teacher he realises that he can only get his way by bullying and 'slapping'.

Much too early, but the daffodils have decided we need something lovely to look at while the world is in a masive mess.

Ooh, I see rumours about the Trump/Musk bromance being in trouble. Anyone the slightest bit surprised?

😂

I couldn't possibly recommend anyone do this... ...oh alright, go on then. #Swasticars #ElonMusk #Tesla

2/2 Two people saved me, one sorted someone to look after the dog, the other drove me to the hospital. Complete strangers. Faith in humanity restored!

Finally the storm is wearing off. Not before two visits to A&E after taking the dog for an essential pee and being blown over into the road, skin split on skalp. First stitches didn't hold, but at least the department was very, very quiet! Thank goodness for super kind people 1/2
