Thank you, dear Hakan Fidan 🇹🇷, for hosting our joint initiative: the first E4 🇩🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧🇮🇹 & R4 🇹🇷🇪🇬🇵🇰🇸🇦 meeting in Istanbul. European & regional partners share an urgent need to prevent further escalation in the #Strait of Hormuz & at #Bab al-Mandab. 1/3

Our goal is to find an “entry point to the exit” from these protracted conflicts. There is no easy fix: we are ready to explore new diplomatic approaches and thus contribute to restoring stability & freedom of navigation. 2/3

Also in the #BlackSea, where Russia’s attacks on grain shipments threaten food security, we are determined to explore ways to help ensure grain reaches those in need. Today’s meeting was a good start - I look forward to hosting our partners in 🇩🇪 to continue this dialogue. 3/3
